    • Hp shards or evasion?

    Im not sure which one to do, pros reccomend hp but ive always prefered dodges/evasion. Any opinions?

      Evasion sucks. Even if it actually worked well, there are still physical attacks that don't miss and MAGIC.

      Evasion = ****


      Even if you show me calculations showing how much evasion will reduce damage over time that doesn't prove it improves survivability. Evasion produces a zero damage result every few times and if you average it out over time it seems like a significant damage reduction. But that doesn't help you survive. Here and there it might let you survive a situation but most of the time more HP would have been better.

      For PVP an archers biggest enemies are casters and other archers and sins. People who never miss and people who rarely miss. Its true that evasion will work against BMs and Barbs but they really aren't that big a threat to an archer. No reason to get gear to protect against your weakest threats. For PVE evasion is much more useful, but still not useful enough.

      Want proof? Fight mobs with and without the archer evasion buff. See how much that really helps survivability.

      Dont listen to any of these guys they dont know w hat they're talking about.

      Evasion is the best.

      Amber gems are the best shard in the game - literally better than JoSD's
      you dont even need high refines for them to be beneficial.

      Just shard everything with ambers including your weapon so you can make sure to hit those high dex aps barbs and other evasion archers.

      how about attack and attack lvl shards instead? those come for high levels only sadly. but right now, if u not lvl90, do not even think about shard because it is a waste anyway

      actually if u do the math, evasion is only second to josd. i have an evasion build and it works perfectly.

      Its not about damage reduction over time its about survivability. Miss, hit, hit, hit, miss, hit, hit, hit, miss equals live, dead, live, dead, live again.

      y no evasion?

      Cuz with **** HP Sins will oneshot you with RDS, BMs will p. much zerk you oneshot with smack, Casters will roflstomp you in the time it takes to channel 1 spell, archers will not give a fuq because endgame archers have so much DEX that evasion becomes pointless

      Condor never works in NW against R9 archers IJS they autoattack right through 24K evasion and rarely miss

      decus if u were the math guru u claim to be you would have alrdy done the math and know why evasion works. but im perfectly fine with nobody using evasion builds, it keeps the amber shards dirt cheap for me. as an archer your HPs should come from your refines not from hp shards, we only have one item that gives a % boost to hp. the build that was posted earlier that has 24k evasion is a VERY viable build. and it works perfectly.

      true but it still sends mixed signals to new players. genuine question should get genuine replys and not a whole page filled with troll posts c/w bogus pwcalc builds
