Chintien and chasing quest

Icingdeath - Dreamweaver

We are having troule with this new quest I killed him in tt1-1 and could not talk to the npcs of the kids then killed him in tt 1-2 and could. Now my wife has same quest and has killed him in all 3 tt 1's and can't talk to the npcs. Are we missing something? She has tried with her char that needs with lead and without, both chars killing and solo killing while a herc kept agro but didnt attack (solo mode) is it a squad mode quest ? Thanks for any help.

We too are having trouble doing this quest, we have done in single and simple but cant get kill.

Any Ideas would be greatfully received.

I had the same problem as you guuys on my lowbie/high level alt. The lowbie just didn't get it.
So I let the low char DD all the boss (in single mode 1-1 where he has really low hp), and just was healing her with the cleric. Then my lowbie got it done.
So I assume the person who needs the quest kill, has to do most damage to the boss. Probably over 50% as it used to be in some other quests, but I let her do it all just to be sure she gets it.

Yes, its like oracles. The toon that needs has to bring its hp down to 50% so a cleric or mystic healing you and you dd-ing should work Thats how i did it ^^

i usually don't read quests texts sometimes the descriptions are very "poor" even with missing autopath links and i prefer to click OK or the link to the mob(s).
I tried to complete this mission in squad mode - hard or normal but didn't counted and after i read the description i finally got the kill from soloing in single mode.

-you need a cleric in your team to heal you (except if u r veno 79 which is easy to solo ) and 1 Ultimate Substance, select 1-1 chronol 60-65 and single mode .
- if you dual client set the macro to cast and get into your healer for heal.
-or set cleric bubble - similar to killing/soloing the 2 minibosses at the entrance of TT.

after you kill chientien , 2 kids will spawn in boss's room , talk to one of them, done.Dont try to pull boss outside room, i'm not sure if the kids will spawn or if you can talk to them anymore.

This thread should be moved in Quests Tips forum , i think.
