"client running unable to proceed"

a messages saying "client running" and "unable to proceed" keep appearing everytime i open up the client and there is no other client open

    It likely crashed and the process is still there. Or, if you're in windowed mode and close it by clicking the red X, it actually just minimizes it to the system tray.

    In either case, kill elementclient in task manager or reboot your PC.

    ok. Not sure what the problem is anymore. I explained it fairly clearly. Maybe you could give us some more information about your issue. When is it happening? What events lead up to it? What have you done to troubleshoot?
