Pardon the DW terminology, aka a billion other things, etc etc.
Anyway this isn't about lowbies running around in armour that looks like r9rr/rank nine third cast/r93/whatever... I could care less about that :D
How many people have actually noticed that it looks like this armour and not bypassed it somehow by the by o_o

But this does give an oppurtunity to see what classes look like in the armour they could otherwise never have the appearance of, like what would clerics look in non AA rank armour, venos in non AA rank armour, sins in non LA rank armour all that palava :3
Liiike for instance this/this (two linkies) is what a HA veno in r9rr would look like~

I didn't even recognize that that's what rank HA looks like I only ever see AA around O_o''

Anyway, anyone else have characters with nonstandard armour for their class that they got to see what it'd look like if they could get rank in the other armour type/created alts to see what weird combinations would look like or other relevant stuff?

    I actually like the idea of those armors looking like r9rr. It makes some people's dream come a little bit true.
    Achieved R9 before it was mainstream.

    I kinda want to be able to put them in the fashion slots (alongside the normal armour ones for the lower levels using them) xD But that'd be terrible in PvP like things so I guess no 'x3

    If you want to get technical they look like the Morai 101 armors. R999 is the one that copied skins from Morai because they were too lazy to make new ones.

    Heh. I wish I could choose to have R9 HA for my veno. Sucks that heavy/robe hits a dead end thanks to R9 (and recasts). At least before with R8 you could still get equivalents when it came to armor.

    I mean technically speaking I/other HA venos can still get the weapon(which I guess is most of the hubbub about rank being so much stronger than people who go g16?) and ring and otherwise get g16 and stuff if trying to be around statishwise, maybe, but the missing +100 stat and other lower complects is kinda hard to make up :x

    But yeah, they do look alike, r9rr and morai 101... I think the other armours were morai lookalikes, too; at least I could tell the first? one looked the same as the 95 quest armour. But the last one stands out so x3

    R9 third cast gears are meant to be the best gears in the game. I don't feel that it really gives that feeling when everyday items look the same as the best gears in the game. Not only does that make it much less special, but it also makes it confusing in mass pk.

    I did. I got challenged on my little veno. I giggled a little, because it's obvious that my weapon looks like an NPC weapon. b:chuckle


    But, if I'm reading this right, I do agree with Ven. I might actually consider getting r9 on my HA veno if they let me decide what "type" of r9 to get (AA/LA/HA). Since this is a tricky situation, it might never happen (you would have to change around naming, add several more folders to the code under each class, etc etc). (Don't ask me what folders, it's Saturday and you're lucky to get semi-coherent sentences out of me.)

    I've heard a bit about lowbies being challenged to duels 'cause their gear looks nice xD
    And yeah I already have rank eight and want to get the rank nine weapon/ring eventually as a thing, I'd totally want to try and get some of the armour too if we could get HA D:

    My R999 armor has been downgraded from lvl 100 PVE armor to lvl 40 noob armor...

    Not much room to get worse than that.

    Well g16 is a lowbie armour too, and it's even lower than r9rr so all the people with highest level armour atm have a very low, free lookalike version of their armour floating around..

    On my veno it's obviousily not actually rank armour but I have the armour on my mystie too, who's actually low level so she can use it, and I feel a bit awkward walking around in it 'cause it looks like actually proper rank armour for her class.. ah, well :x Sorry Asty.
