Bot Grinding?

There is a sin on my server grinding 11 levels below her and shes KSing me but desnt say anything. she just goes from one mob to the next killing and picking up drops. i saw her spark once. im not sure how bots work or if they are even legal. Ive WC'd for an officer of their faction but no reply. I dont want to send a ticket if im not sure its a botb:surrender

I dont know how to identify a bot, for example when im with my veno grinding in OHT I just kill and get the drop, and I dont like to talk when Im doing that. Then if I talk am not a bot but if I dont talk Im a bot? That has no sence. I just dont like to talk :P

There are certain movements a bot does that are strange so you are able to tell. Not talking is not an indication of a bot.
It seems mean, but if I think someone is a bot I will kill the mob they are going after before they get there. A bot will run over to me and stand there trying to pick up the drops even though they cant. After I finish picking up my drops, there will be a long pause and then the bot will move onto the next mob. A lot of times that is an indication, especially if they don't complain to me about killing the mob or mobs multiple times and continue to just stand next to me as I pick up drops.
ANother fun one is to leave a trail of 1 coin drops to a boss such as Kong or a random wb if one is available. Often the bots will just follow the drops to their deaths. That is always a fun way to solve bot problems on a PVE server. On a pvp server you can just kill them, but it isnt as fun.
Every now and again killling venos near the general for the MQ is fun. Venos will just set up there and have pet on auto attack. You just lure the general over to them and the veno dies pretty quick. Most of the time when I'm farming, i pay little attention to chat. Normal chat and WC is completely off when i farm. If i do happen to glance at the chat box and see pink or blue whispers, i tend to answer them. Just depends on if i catch them or not. This is why i tell people that just because someone isn't answering you doesnt make them a bot.
You can often tell if it is a bot or not just by the actions. Stange pausing after every mob, the robotic same way killing the mob every time, the way they pick up certain drops. And then if they die, they either port right back to town, or they just lay there for hours. Yeah, a Director of a badly spelled angel faction of blood on our server was a 5.0 sin farming the poison spiders. I was doing AoE luring last night, and went around him and continued gathering. Saw the sin running over to my collection, and figured the jerk was going to KS. So I flew straight up to reset, he ran into the middle, and ended up dieing from the spiders still in the area. Went back hours later and it was still just laying there dead. Figured out it was just a badly done bot program then.
Luckily I do about 10 runs a day right now, so good chance of constantly killing them over and over. Ah, good times.0 -

If someone PM's you saying "Are you a bot?" and you don't answer, it's pretty much your fault if you get reported.Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.

Actually a mod has been here... but anywho.... back to the topic i was reading the responses and the sin in question does the following that was mentioned..
1)No response
2)Does random sparking
3) Does not pick up all drops (i killed one that was her coin and she ran)
4) Goes to town upon death.

1. Bots are NEVER allowed in any game that is decent. I bot-filled game is a dead zone.
2. If they don't respond, report them or kill some mobs and watch what they do then.0 -

Its actually fairly easy to identify them, since most of them are usually all set to pick up drops....b:thanks
For instance ~ 1 funny thing to do is drop single coins on the ground.... Or if your like me theres another even more funnier way to **** with some of them, such as "Buying a whole bunch of varying items of low worth and dropping them on the ground in front of them or in their roaming zone (b:pleased) "this works 2 ways ~ 1 it still confirms that they're bots if a 90's or higher level bots in H&LL are picking up starter level (health and mp pots / broken red jade & etc.) But it also takes up their Open bag spots in their strorage bags, so they run outta slots to fill up with the real lucrative drop items from those areas b:laugh
It really does work wonders, to shut them down for a little, by filling them up with the junk drops you can drop in front of them..... LOLZZZzzz ((b:victory))0 -

Not wanting to talk while grinding is fine. Just be aware if you see "Bot Check" repeated in common or private messages you might want to answer.0
