PWI Events are useless now

its too bad when u feel your join any events useless cuz for sure winner will be some names those win in all pwi events ..

oki we do events to get some fun but in same time its bad cuz u make sure there is no chance for you to win X.X ..

i know pwi cant do anything for those ppls all i can do asking them ,,,, plz dont join every / all event , keep chance for others join this game and this selfish make ppl feel boring and maybe hate your name. b:surrender

Not every winner can join events all the time. But there are just too many of them that there really is no chance for people.

Unfortunately, the only options one has is try to adapt to it, not do the event at all, or become as strong as them, if not stronger, and win.

and some event mad for all lvls ppl in pwi main goal of event to make everyone happy and enjoy game but no chance with those i'm just ask them in good way just give us breath lool ,,

the best event in pwi and really was fair enough candy one " i dont remember name" that one u need dig Wheat then kill sub boss and turn it to coins then turn coins to candy and exchange it to cool staff ^_^

that event really i love it and wish it back soon ... i think its happen in pwi new year or anniversary ... X,X sorry dont remember well

PWI implemented soulforce and it has potential but they use it for some weird reasons, like % chance a skill will work.

I'd be cool if they could use soulforce, which is a numeric value based on gear grade, shards, and refines, to create brackets for events. The 35k soulforce sin competiting against the 12k soulforce sin is obviously no competition. The 35k soulforce sin decides his bracket is too competive then he can switch out gear and work in another bracket.

(I also think they should use soulforce for barb aggro, that way despite build there's a reward for focusing on gear refines for tanking).

You'd have to lock gear for a scheme like this to work to prevent people from switching to better gear in their inventory. That would unfairly affect BMs though and other classes.

No matter what you'll have all players going for the best prizes they are capable of getting no matter what bracket it is in. Ultimately the only real way to guarantee the best prize is to be a better than the rest.

The main goal is to make you feel frustrated enough to spend money, not to make everyone happy

It's unfair to ask of high lvl, high refined geared ppl to sit for an event because they always win or w/e. Some ppl spend or merchant to be the best on this game. Either do the same or don't do the event. If you don't spend like the big kids, don't expect to be in par with the big kids.

Some events should really be altered. For example Tiger event - its fine as long you can get the 2k points... but the event finishes just a few mins after it start, so many high lvls participate. Low lvls really have no chance to get 2k points within this 6 mins or less. Eihter make more mobs/bosses reguired to kill before event finishes or decrease the points required for cheapest reward (like in Santa or Saturday Morai event - 100 points minimum is fine).

Well the thing about Tiger Event, is that you don't *have* to compete with the well-geared people killing mobs and bosses. There are quests you can run. I personally gave up competing in the killing field a long time ago. By just teleporting from city to city and talking to elders, I easily get over 4k contribution before the event ends, which makes you complete the head hunter's quest that requires 2k. And if you pick a lesser used class, you can make it into the top 20 easily as well to get your chance at event gold.

The way you suggest would require that all of my weapons have similar refine so that when I switch between them to use my skills I wouldn't be booted.

"Don't allow PWI's source of income players to participate, despite giving PWI $$"

Sorta anti-PWI actions don't you think?

I'm not OP like them, but I've spent $800 on this game before NW, so I expect to be able to participate in any event.

I'm from HL, so in the tiger event there's a lot of pk/pvp, a while ago I made a toon on HT and tried tiger event thinking it will be easier since it's a pve server, I was wrong, since there's no pk/pvp the event is done in less than 10 minutes and newbies that try to pick herbs or w/e don't have time to get the 2k contribution minimum to get a price while on a server like HL the event can go at 20 minutes.

I realize this. Or an average soulforce could be calculated and used. You'll have players trying to circumvent this by using r9t3 half the time and tt70 half the time or something, but they'll probably just **** themselves by lose of dd overall.

In NW my Reel In skill seems to miss alot so I was playing around with my gear swaps to see which gear i should use for Reel In success. I had an aps set longer than I've had my G16 pieces, so my claws are +10 and most my tt99 pieces as well, but my defensive G16 pieces, r8r chest, and r9 axes range from +4-+7. So 20k soulforce with my G16/r9 set and 26k with my tt99. Kind of weird.

I guess no one realize that weapon can very well be 50% of your soulforce. A full set of +10 armor gives ~16-17k ish soulforce. There will be virtually no one with ~16k soulforce that can kill someone in +10 r9 recast armor. Said r9 can probably just as easy nuke you with a stock weapon do to his 100+ attack levels.

Oh wow never thought about that... No PvP at events..
Events must suck on pve server... just get best dps gear possible and totally ignore everyone around you. That's .... sooo boring....

There's a lot of event were you can score high merit and not have to face OP geared players. Most PVP event also have alternative to get merit. For example, the x mas event, it had a quest to go talk to a npc. I did'nt try it, so I can't say it's repeatable. I think people just don't do research on what they wana do and then they blame there ignorance on the OP +12 R9 players. If you know what to do, you can score decent merit and get rewards. No high gear needed.

Most events take in account that not everyone has what most would call OP-gear

The celestial tigers event has 4 sub-quests . Each of them give a decent amount of contribution. 3 of those are repeatable.

The race event, Well, its just racing in your mount, and pwi gives every anniversary a free mount to all players who joined before certain day. Give it a try :P

The ST nick event had 4 sub-quests too :P and 3 of them were repeatable too ! :P

Others like The shattered cloud chapter have level brackets :P so one can participate being between the level of course :P

The fighters of abominations...........lets leave it like that XD its too much fun :P but you need some average gear to go there :P

The Jungle ruins event ..well in this, your gear/level wont matter too much, mostly because everything there one-shots everyone :P but if you have some skill, you can get free event gold there too !!

All in all :P there ARE a great deal of events that are designed to appeal everyone, having good gears or not, having high levels or not :P

Yeah but the tiger event problem is that in it ends when it barely started. There is no time to do those quests.
I guess if they increase power of players, they should increase toughness of events as well.

This is actually a pve server exclusive flaw. Events in PvP servers are less simplified than a best dps contest. Dps gear often doesn't have the best survivability, allowing others to be competitive with gear that deals slower damage by interrupting those with the highest dps gear and making them walk back.

I often switch back and forth between dps and pvp gear all throughout tiger event.

Tiger Event typically lasts about 10-15 minutes on HT. I easily get over 4k contribution running the repeatable quests during that time. 2k contribution therefore should only take half that time, and I don't think *any* server could kill that many mobs and bosses in 5 minutes (especially considering you have to travel to their location).

Granted, it would be harder if you have lag issues. Though last time I was experiencing heavy quest-lag at teleports and still managed 4k.

Time was never a problem here in Lost city :P

In all, it could use some upgrades , the event i mean :P it will be kinda boring at the long run:P

Alas, poor scrappy, i dont think China will give us an update of those events soon

Anyway, there are still other events .

I do think they should have some low level exclusive content like they have high level exclusive content. The 20-40 quest seasonal events are nice but they need something competitive as well. Just something to make the low-mid levels worth staying in for a little while.
