What does PK Protected Area mean?

I thought it meant that an area was protected from PKing, but apparently I was wrong.

I was sniped talking to Guard Seven in the Western Outskirts of Archosaur, which said was a PK protected area.

What does that mean?

Extra question: How do you avoid getting PK'd if you're a Veno? I stand no chance currently, lol.

It means what it says.

In this case the PK protected area has a limit, or boundaries if you like :P so outside of it , you are fair game .P

But your case...Maybe you were outside safe zone :P??

I don't really know, are you perhaps from a PVE server?

If you were outside SZ and if you are in a PVE server and got your PK protection deactivated then.......

I'm on the Lost server, which says it's a PvP (to be honest this is the first mmo I've played with PvP that both parties don't agree on beforehand, sorry if I'm a little bumbly about this).

I don't know exactly where the safe zone ends coming out of the West side of Archosaur, but that doesn't really make sense since the area I walked into said PK protected? Unless there's different layers of protection that I'm not understanding.

At level 30+ on a PvP server (or when in PK mode on a PvE server), once you're outside a safe zone, which is when you'll normally see a message saying Leaving Safe Zone in your chat log, you become fair game regardless.

Outside of that, it's a way for those who are blue named to know they've also become fair game.

guard seven is located outside of archosaur isn't he? so if ur outside of archosaur, even the tiniest inch from its gates, ur not in pk protected mode anymore

PK protected areas mean 30- players cant be PKed. in pk servers (LC/HL) there are some zones where players of ANY level can pk/be pked. if you're 30+ in pk server you can pk-ed outside safezones i.e. cities, towns etc.
