So after seeing Demon BIDS in the AH for 40mil minus about a thousand coins, give or take, I've snapped and now I'm wondering what the average value of wizzy's lvl. 11 skills are, since there seems to be no real benchmark on how much they really cost.

I know a couple of years ago I saw Demon Distance Shrink going for 20-25mil, which is a pretty steep price even today and personally I thought it was more than a little unreasonable, given how rare wizards seemed to be back then with sins taking over the game. >_>

So in order that we may place a proper value on our various skills, I propose a listing of how much each of us paid for our various skillbooks, regardless of time or the state of the server economy.

As a Demon, I have:

All 3 masteries, each bought at 1-2mil
Force of Will, bought for about 5mil
Glacial Snare, 7mil
Stone Barrier, Pyroshell, Glacial Embrace Divine Pyrogram, Dragon's Breath, Blade Tempest, all either given free or from random skill tomes.
I can't remember how much I paid for Pitfall and Hailstorm, probably not more than 3-4mil, if I didn't get them from skill tomes.
Stone Rain went for 525k
Gush and Pyrogram, both 100k

I'm fairly sure I paid less than average for each of those skills, and I'm curious as to whether or not there is any guideline to pricing wizzy skills, especially since we seem to be a rather rare class(or at least, much less common than, say, sins or seekers), and if there's a price difference between Sage and Demon versions of the same skill.

You don't need demon bids. Seems fairly useless.

I ended up rolling Demon BIDS like three times in a row. Kept one, sold one for 30m and the last one for 20m. Then I rolled a string of FoW/GS trying to get Demon BT/MS and just ended up buying those for 25m ea rather than waste more pages.

Think the only skill I definitely overpaid on was Demon Stone Barrier for 40m. Feel like I should have just tried rolling it, but then I'm reminded of this chick on my server that ended up spending like 200m on trying to roll it (oh well, at least she sold me cheap demon skills).

-stone barrier 1st book i bought it was 9 gold from bid sistem- so was like 14,5kk if im not mistaken
-gush and pyro 100k ea
-stone rain 500k
-bought the Demon Book Pack for wizard -10 book's- from Mysterious Librarian at 1k (4500 tokens = 45 milion)
-pitfall 500k in AH:D
-pyroshell and glacial embrace=1kk ea
-welspring quaff - 2kk
-demon BT + demon MS from cube (60 pages at average price of 350k / ea = 21kk)
-still missing Demon Bids, Divine Pyro,Dragon breath and Crown of Flame

from this we can calculate aproximative value of skils @ 85 kk , price witch not include coins u need to learn the demon version of them

and this is only value of "base skills" , didnt mention about 79 skils, morai and lv 100 ones !

Personally, the bonus Demon BIDS gives means nothing to me because if I'm casting BIDS in the first place I'll be prepared to lose two sparks for it anyway, so the only reason why I'd upgrade it is for more skill damage.

Also the way Demon BIDS proc works is **** on the most **** level of retardation and I can't believe it hasn't been fixed in 4 years.

That said, what are some of the factors people take into consideration when valuing skillbooks? I'd think rarity, skill usage and demand would be among them, but then again, I've seen Demon Revive offer for 40mil and bought it for 7mil before, so I'm not seeing much consistency in the pricing of skillbooks, wizzy or not. I think the only thing I can really see is that they're getting more and more expensive these days, and trying to find Demon Distance Shrink for sale is like looking for Frost mats.

As a sage i have
-Gush got it for like 200k
-Stone rain for around 100k
-Pyrogram for 900k i believe, ive seen them cheaper but i was a bit desperate like i REALLY wanted to try it out LOL
-Pyroshell for around 1m
-Hailstorm i found it for like 1.5m i guess i was lucky, i've seen them from 4-9m O.o
i think thats about all i have for now, i cant seem to find divine pyrogram, sandstorm, frostblade or any of the masteries anywhere except for demon versions >.<
