Making money without DQ ~ Guide

So the DQ Items have been nerfed to 1 coin and the lower levels are confused on how to support there toons with new gear and upgradeing skills. So here are a few tips from an old pro.

Farming Mats: One of the best ways to get money now is to collect mats as you go. Furs and oils are the biggest money makers as far as mats go. You can sell them to the catshops or if you have the time sell them yourself. The purified oils are roughly going for 40,000 each in shops. How many of those do you have? And rough furs are about 30,000 each. If you underprice your comptition by 1k then you are more likely to sell them. Dont forget herbs and rocks on the ground!

Weapon Drops: If you see a Bue star weapon pick it up! If it is unidentified take it to the elder and have it identified. Dont be afraid to AH these as others are looking for anything better than NPC gear. (You can also decompose these and feed your genie if you have the right skill level)

Zeals: It takes very little spirit to get a zeal to level 10. If he turns out with high lucky points you can sell him for an easy 400k. you can also use exp to level the zeal up. This will allow you to farm more mats at your level. To get a zeal you can make one at the watchmaker for 3 mirage stones.

TT Opener: Theres always some high rank wanting to farm TT in squad mode. If you can get to Town of Arivals you can grab a quick 50-100k or whatever the offer to just be in squad and go in and stand there till they open it. When you leave you get teleprted back to town of arrivals. Not to mention the high rollers drop mats they dont need that you can sell for 20k each.

If anyone else has anything to add pls do.

    Do the quests.

Merch stuff. Multi-client is allowed people have no excuse to don't set a shop anymore.

Sacrifice something pretty for money. On a new server I tried few months ago, I got a timed flyer from the derby race thing, fast flyer, really pretty, but timed (7 days), I sold it 2m, but with that 2m I was able to start merch and in like 2-3 days got 10m of profit and etc...

Fly or use a mount beside use the teleport. It seems crazy, but seriously calculate how much you spend in a day in teleport.

Take all drops when you quest, often I see people do not pick their drop. There's DQ items that worth 1 coin at the npc that I sell 7.5k-10k in my catshop, there's a ton of lazy people that buy it beside go farm it.

Any gears/weap that you craft or get as drop with decent stats try to sell it, but do not try to over price the item, the point is to gte more money than if you npc it, but not to be stuck with the it, example if a ring for level 40 drop with let's say +5 magic and +5 vit with a npc price of 2k sell in AH, but don't try to sell at 500k, no one of that level have that money, just put like 50k-75k.

Do the events every time you can.

If you do quest like crazy stone, don't buy the gems at the shops, buy at the merchant and combine them yourself.

For FB59/69/79 you can save money by farming the mats to craft the wines beside buy it. (sell the over mats you don't need)

Before buy something ''pretty'' ask your self if you really need it or if you could use that money to merch and get more money. (fash, mount, flyer, pets)

Pick the stuff people trash on the ground. I don't count how many time after a BH GV I see people drop the OHT mats everywhere, people laugh at me cause I pick them, but when I have a lot of them I go sell them and get easy a free 750k-1m.

When you buy a piece of gear or a weapon (if you don't farm them) try to get the ones that are easy to sell after you don't need them anymore. You can ask friends or guild before buy a item if they thing it's a good deal.

Try to find the good deal even if that mean you need to wait a few days before get what you want, on the new server I tried I wanted a mount and beside buy the first one a saw at 5m I waited a few days, checking shops and AH everyday and after a week I got a great deal of a mount for 600k. (I must admit I got lucky on that)

I just want to add that the only DQ that are worth something are the ones used for the bank quests, and you can sell them between 1k-7k depending upon which one it is. So even after you do your own bank quest, you should still pick them up and sell them to cat shops.

About the blue 1-star, 2-star items...it's hard to sell those, even in AH..and sometimes it is better just to NPC them. Placing it in AH over and over after it doesn't sell wastes coin. Just make sure that before you NPC a 2-star item, it isnt one of the ones required for lvling a manufacturing skill. If it is, you can sell it for a couple of mil tipically in AH.

Molds you get from bosses, make them using farmed mats and then sell it in AH. You get more money that way instead of just selling it as a mold.

If you are lvling too fast and cant pay for your skills and armor, it's ok to slow down. I've fed a level or two to my genie to make sure that I have enough spirit and coin to be able to have my skills and such, and I think I'm better off because of it.

Right now, don't encourage new players to give up their spirit. They are having major spirit gaining problems right now because the quests aren't giving them enough for skills. I suggest feeding exp, not spirit, to the genie for low levels if you want to make genies to sell. The low levels are the easiest time now to make fast exp, and it's easy all the way till level 70.

Also, there is kind of a money making guide already, although it needs to be updated and made a bit clearer.

I absolutely agree with do the quests, they raised the coin reward for them and at 80+ a couple quests can get you 500k+

I just have to say though, most people don't have an excuse not to merchant, but there are people like me who are playing a computer than doesn't have enough RAM to dual client without major lag. b:shutup

    .

Ofc, generally I'll put the item one time only, if that don't sell I'll npc, but it's why I say to don't over price it, to put a price that people might buy it. 50-75k seems low, but it's better than a npc price.

For people that can't merchant with a shop for any reasons, they could use AH (the fee suck, but it's a way to sell items when can't have a shop), or some people could set a shop other places than west, example in south around the AH, in cube, just outside the cube, in south or north, etc.. where there's less lag than west.

True, I use AH to sell things and hope the profit makes up the fees. My laptop sucks so much I cant even run a second client even if its in the middle of nowhere though. b:surrender

I would like to suggest doing the Cube of Fate on a daily basis for those players who are level 40 and above as a means of supplementary income. Afterall there is a possibility of getting items that can be sold to merchants for as much as 1,000,000 to 5,000,000 coins from the Cube of Fate. So it is really worthwhile to be doing this on a daily basis, especially now that money making is so much harder for lower level players.

You can not sell Zeals with 10/10 lucky points for 400k.

But you can buy Zeal with 30+/50 lucky points for less than 500k sometimes.

    Really ? I think otherwise:
    What do I need?
    ...
Recommended: (enough for most worst-case scenarios)

50+ Dice Tickets (Trading Mysterious Chips for dice tickets is usually the cheapest source due to chip sales.)
600,000+ coins (Most of this can be made back quickly with a profit by selling rewards to other players.)
20+ Do-All Cards (Can be manufactured from tokens or purchased with DQ Points at the DQ Rewards page.)
10+ Herb Yuanxiao (Level 75+: for HP recovery in continuous damage rooms.)
    ...
    Cube of Fate

The Cube of Fate is a solo dungeon (shared instance) that you can enter starting at level 40. There are 50 rooms in the puzzle dungeon, each with it's own unique challenge to complete. Once you complete a room's challenge, you will receive a random six sided die that will move you forward throughout the dungeon. The objective is to reach room 50, however if you fail a challenge or are killed along the way, you will respawn back in room 1 with the option to either exit the Cube, or start the puzzle all over again.

While the Cube can be very frustrating at times, it can also be very rewarding. You could spend a few million coins and come out empty handed, or you could spend 100k and come out with a few million coins, 20 Mysterious Chips, and over 350,000 XP! It's completely random, though patience and persistence will certainly help.

You can only do this quest once per day (well, on the days you can afford it).

One thing - don't merc to much on the furs - oils - conc. Glue and silk thread if you plan to lvl your smith skill to lvl 4 this goes for tailor and i think craftman too- Gonna need a lot of those mats, and they get a bit hard to farm past lvl 30-40. so save some or make enough coins to go out and buy it when needed
