Varies from server to server as we all sell mats for different prices. The gear itself is TT 70 Mats + TT 80 Mats. +3 is not that hard to get, can easily get on armor with mirages alone. Also shards can change the price.

If you are looking for someone to confirm that you wouldn't be ripping yourself off on this sale, I would ask for opinions in game on your server. The forums, especially general discussion, are not the place to ask for price checks

Well, to be honest, TT80 set wouldn't be worth getting, just go straight for 90 for TT90. b:victory

It is worth getting because you can make money in the proces if you want.

Start checking the AH every few hours in the week or 2 before youe expect to be 80. You will soon know the right price. Then buy cheap, and after you get to your TT90, you can sell it with a profit.

Just note that there is a big difference in quality of items and their value. 4 sockets is worth double of a 2 socketed item. Refinements up to 3 (roughly 20k, 100k, 350k respectively) and flawless citrines(140k) add their own price to the value of an item. Immaculates or higher refinements add less than their cost to the value of an item. Other chards than citrines do not add any value to the item.

When you look at the AH many people seem not to realise the importance of these factors. Often this translates into way overpriced 2 socketed items (that wont ever sell) but rarely you see underpriced 4 socketed items. And i regularly bought wrongly socketed items for a bargain, appearently from players who dont know that you can take the shards out. When you resell, you will be very happy for not having bought 2 socketed items....

Citrine is the only shard? I don't think so. they could have sapphires in it, they help to an extent. Also most people level from 80-90 so fast that they don't need it.

Personally my casters use garnets, or a mix of garnets and citrines.

As for 80 gear, it's not really that necessary to build it up much, 90 is right around the corner. Most 90 gear doesn't even require 80 gear to make.

    gold or green

+3 refine is worth nothing, you can get +3 whit 20 mirage and some luck

if gold 80 I would say under 3 mil a piece, maybe 1.5mil

    Green,

    500k for 2 sock, 750k for 3, 1 mil for 4 socket.

then if you go in Ah look at the Gem they have.

It's been a while I have look at the price, I could be way to high. Still that'S the price I would pay if I wanted them. Badly

cause you can farm them for almost nothing.

Bingo. TT80 isn't required to make TT90, unless you want gold. TT90G HA is useful if you want the -int on the wrists... The rest tends to not be so awesome, comparing price vs what you get. TT80 itself seems to not have any really good dealbreaker stats either. The ONLY reason I would suggest even remotely getting TT80 green is if you are going to be pulling Gamma, and then, I would suggest you get TT80G. I'd only suggest doing this if you plan on being 80-85 for a rather long period of time.
Citrine is the only shard? I don't think so. they could have sapphires in it, they help to an extent. Also most people level from 80-90 so fast that they don't need it.

Low level Sapphires in armor in TT80 armor wouldn't be so awesome. Turqs would be awesome for an Arma barb, but you'd get so little return, it wouldn't be worht it.

I have refined many, many things to +3. I can say, unless it's really low level, the refining rates have been nerfed so bad, at TT70 level, it would take roughly 100-200 mirages without refining aids to get 4 pieces to +2, probably about 100-150 each if you were aiming for +3 on everything, and who knows if you're wanting +4 or higher.

I ended up using my TT70 until I was 90 on most of my characters, then got TT90. Since I have a lot of characters, I did actually take the effort to refine my gear to +3, my TT80G to +5. At that gear level, it almost makes more sense to just add a 4th or 3rd/4th socket to it and shard it better than to refine it past +3. Socket costs are low enough that even a lower level player should have no problem affording it, assuming at least most of the set is +3 to begin with.

about +3 being worth anything and citrines being the only gems adding value to a product, my post was focussed on the intention on reselling with a profit after you reach your next level of equipment. If you like having 2socketed equipment with garnets in it, go ahead, but dont have too much hopes when selling them.

and for the refinecost, no need to debate them really:
    http://public.sheet.zoho.com/public/warren.forrest/pwi-refine-costs

    Average Refines
    2
    10
    37
    126
    281

I have been immensely lucky when i refined my first item ever (handaxes of demonic roar) while not even knowing about these numbers yet. I got it +5 on first try and then didnt realise the luck and value of what i made (i had just started the game, so the 5m value that i later sold them for was very significant for me). :)
