So like, I was wondering if I was to add this pic to the banner, where would you think it is the best to put it so it doesn't look weird? I was thinking behind the magic, but that would cover her hand and wouldn't make the "welcome" look as obvious. I thought about behind the box too, but would that stretch it too far? I don't know. Or is it better to like, make an individual banner/sig/thing for it is better?

You don't have to do anything besides help me brainstorm atm. Still asking Lucy if she has a background-less one. Hope I'm not bothering you b:chuckle

ello ello I saw what a good job you did with Miko's banner, so I'd like to request one too!
Well to be precise it would be a banner for my screenshots thread Going to re-organize first page and I was thinking nicely done banner would be awesum. So I have a make over like Bri.

it's one of my characters and the banner idea was like...um..I was imagining..
Shizu should be on the left side without a backround and the genie preffered x.x And if it's possible to make a fading backround? It should start white or silver(something like clouds or white fur maybe o.o), something in that direction soooooooooooooomething like this> < x.x know it will be a challenge to make but I trust you with this.
The writing should be gradually (like in the pic) And I will leave font up to you cos I cannot decide Dx:

first off, i made a form (refer to first page), so that requests are easier to do.
i already have a few things on my mind
and i wanna make it the best i can the first time,
so that's why i'm gonna ask you to edit your post with the form.

second, i cannot remove the background, the hair is the biggest problem with that.
my fiance has offered to do renders when i need them,
but he says to not make the hair choppy, it would take hours, and frankly thats too much.
im gonna need you to ask the artist (im assuming miko) if s/he has a .psd that s/he can remove the background from.

the reason my fiance can render miko's image is the white background.
and the reason i can complete bri's request is they want the background changed, not removed.
again i'm sorry about this, but i will need you to do these things before i can possibly start~

woops sorry, I didn't read the front page again. I will edit my post a bit later with all necessary information. And I still want it backround-less, so I will crop it myself, one question, I'm not pro at rendering, I mean it will be hard for me but just one question, after I remove backround, could you somehow soften the picture edges if it's too chompy? If not, I dunno what I will do. And thanks for explaining everything, I should pay more attention to everything and evaluate people's effort more, sorry for giving you much trouble.

thank you for filling out the form makes it much clearer for what you want~
i do believe miko saves a psd file of all her work,
so she should easily be able to just delete the layer the background is
i hate that i had to ask about that, i don't render either so yea~
but if not, i will take quite some time but between me and my fiance we'll render it~
what it is about rendering drawings is the soft edges of the hair,
you have to zoom real close and erase and and the little pixels, and it's a pain~
and i know for a fact if we do that, it'll take a few days to get it done~
from what i've always seen, it's best to ask the original artist if possible,
so i appreciate you doing that~

i haven't even been on the pc yet today... >.>

I do have the PSD actually. And I can fix the edgy hair easily. But the problem I'm having right now is, I can't open PSD in SAI as "new" canvas - -'' And when I render the character out on psd and re-add the hair shading (luminace/shade filter on SAI which PS doesn't have and ruins the whole effect), SAI doesn't support backgroundless even though I just cropped everything. Man I have a lot to think about later on with future works LOL.

BUT. I did manage to get backgroundless one for you b:victory It is not fully rendered, mainly cuz I'm lazy I'm not good at rendering something completely clean XD. As for the genie, I can't really help cuz, idk how to render half transparent things... So I'll leave that for you guys to figure out and see how to add that on to what I have.

you basically complete remove the background of an image,
and on the edges, you have to zoom in real close and remove every itty bitty extra pixel.
and it's just complicated, i couldn't ever do it by myself >.>
my fiance believes he's a graphics master so i let him do the boring stuff

Well recent studies have shown that Ninja's Katana works for 100% of cases, whereas cookie method has only 40% rate. However, if you combine them, it is the OP method, 200% to work. It is all about the bait.
