I've been merchanting since September with 100m I farmed, and right now I have 300k rep and 205 GST with 200m to spare for merchanting 19 MoG for next sales, it's not impossible to get rank 9.

And it does not cost $1500 considering buying them when they are on sale. Although it would cost much more than that to shard JOSD and +12.

It's not so much the Gear level, or the gear bonuses. It's the refines, shards, and set bonuses/attack/def levels.

A +10 well sharded player in TT99/second cast nirvana shouldn't have any problem taking out, 1v1, someone in third cast R9 with no refines and **** shards.

R9 with +10 or +12 refines and good shards will take out a player with third cast R9 and Flawless shards and +4 refines no problems.
