    This argument is pointless.

Anyone going rank9 now is not stopping at base rank9, considering its the most expensive part. People going rank9 now are going third cast. If you want to compare endgame gears for Nirvana path VS Rank path, then compare the true ends for each: g16 Nirvana VS Rank9 3rd.

You seem to be avoiding the fact that g16 is the end of road for Nirvana and theres no where to go, where rank9 leaves the upgrade door open, at a substantially cheaper cost than before.

Agreed completely, however this thread was created in a response to a thread that got closed yesterday that stated a situation where a player got discriminated by first cast r9 people, for having g16 as a caster, in which the r9 people said that r9 was better, and kicked the g16 person from squad in favor of an r9. I have mentioned several times, as have others, that r999 is unanimously the best gear in the game.

Think there has been in depth threads about this topic, its pretty close in damage and defence.
Reasons for the g16 being kicked might be the leader knows the r9 and knows his/her abilities and g16 was a unknown b:pleased

BTW. N3 & R999 has been released for about 8 months already..............
Its time for new sets, I doubt they will leave the shiny pwcn r9 2nd cast in the closet eating dust for long............b:mischievous

g16 Nirvana is its own worst enemy. The minor differences in stats isn't what causes this to happen and what might be slightly better has no bearing on it.
The majority of this attitude stems from the widespread availability of T3. All these FC noobs that people complain about are now being given grade 16 gear for a fraction of the price/effort it would cost them before.
Rank9 first cast still has a substantially expensive cost. Chance are that if someone paid for that, they paid for refines, shards and decent other gear. Sure...you may get a noob, but at least they aren't a one-shot noob.
T3 Nirvana is poised to be more commonplace than rank8 ever was and be in the hands of every noob who ever enters FC. Already I have seen things like Archers with T3 bows combined with tt90 green and rank6 gears, and other bizarrely stupid combinations of end game weaponry with lackluster low gears and no refines.

So no...its not the slight difference in stats or damage. Its this. Since the introduction of NW, T3 is already gaining a horrible reputation, IMO. Weapon links mean nothing. So someone links you a +7 g16 weapon....he joins squad and has +2 tt90/99 gears for a 100+ instance.
I am in no way saying everyone with T3 Nirvana is an FC noob. Or is less than adequately geared. But T3 is the 'go to' gear for all the FC/hyper noobs now and its reputation for being so will likely precede it.
