Quest item drop problem

Quest: The Drum (in Hell)
Lvl: 98/99
Mob in question: Cetaceaner (near the Convulsing Demons)
Quest Item: Cetacener's eye

I've killed him 6 times and still the quest item does not drop. The last time I did this quest was a year+ ago on my main on Arch server. I've re-logged and still nothing. Short of bring out my main, making a party and killing it, everything else does not seem to work.

Quest or item nerfed with last expansion? Anyone else run into this problem?

    Have not been there but this might be able to help you hun:

    It seems you have just a streak of bad luck because the item has a 30% chance of ending with you soooo.

    I suggest to keep calm and try again.

    Perheaps being in a party may help?

    bleh!.. ah well I use my main to do the divine contract kills in heaven/hell so might as well keep at it till it either drops or the mob complains I'm farming em!
