Rank Armour Recasting

I am very confused with recasting. I know what it is but lets say I would like to recast nirv g16 I can just give it to a friend to recast it for me as long as I am not bound to it. But what about for rank armour? It's untradable so would that mean I am the only one who can recast it? What level crafting do I need to be to recast it? Help this confused n00b b:surrender

Yes, only you can cast rank armor, and it requires level 1 of tailor or blacksmith.
