Wait before WCing

On our server if in the beginning one nation is doing well people will WC telling to go after that nation. So everyone does and then they stop paying attention to the other nations. And before you know it a totally different nation has pulled way ahead and there is no chance of knocking them out of first. Then they try WCing to tell them to go after the other one, but by that point it's too late.

If you feel the need to WC to go after a certain nation at least wait until 1 hour is done. After an hour is when you are going to start seeing who has the best chance of winning. The first 20 minutes, no way. By WCing that early you are shooting yourself in the foot. You draw attention away from a nation that could be a serious threat by focusing on one way too early.

I usually WC to bring awareness to who is winning, usually with some humor too, or try to...b:shutup

However, sometimes I just WC to gank the weakest nation, because HT isn't a nice place.b:cry

Winning is winning even if you have to WC to go after another nation to pull ahead.

And ye, it works well for suppressing that nation and increasing your own nation's score. If the folks in your nation aren't smart enough to take advantage of others drawing their attention elsewhere, then that's tough luck. Especially considering it's how the nation that does pull ahead manages.

We have the opposite problem on Sanctuary. Everyone keeps beating the dead nations and ignoring the one building up a massive lead.

That is sort of the problem I'm talking about. Very early on people with WC saying to go after one nation, which people do. But then they become so focused on that one nation they pay no mind to the others. It could very well be a diversion tactic that another nation is using so people will focus else where while they take the map.

That's why I'm saying to wait until the first hour is done (or ignore the the WC messages given out before then). For the first hour there is really no clear winner and to focus on one nation at that point is beyond foolish.

Very few people have realised this, but you should never use the world chat in nation wars to communicate
ive seen many teles saying "FROST NATION, LETS ATTACK LIGHT"
if they listen, this tells dark that frost will be focused on the otherside, and dark will start to mount an offensive, along with light moving in for a defensive.

Nation wars has a built in Nation Chat, which replaces market chat which no one uses anyway. Click in the market chat or type $ before your message, and send it, it will cost 10k, almost same price as a tele, but everyone in your nation will see it, and no other nations will see it.

To expand on this, you can use the classic war strategy of leaking false information, use nation chat to tell your nation "Lets focus on light nation, push them back, while dark is fighting flame, disregard this following tele" then world chat "FROST NATION, MOVE OUT AND FIGHT DARK"
Confuse the enemy, they expect an attack, other enemy expects to be able to move in while you are distracted

Agree with this 100%. Good use of misdirection can sometimes be the very key to victory.

This. Not many people know about that, and it's very helpful to tell your whole nation if something is up.

For myself, I never have the world chat up when in NW. I'm more focused on the Squad Chat and communicating with my team.

If you think about it... Using fake wcs to get people away from an area to gain an advantage is pretty smart. Things like this are use in real wars too.

There's so many texts in NW that even when someone speak in all chat or nation chat it's hard to see, cause of the white text constantly spamming ''E5 is under attack go help..''.

I personally don't read world chat when I'm in NW.

I just wish it was orange like the trade channel. I mean it's based off the trade channel so it'd be nice if it still differentiated itself that way too.

Frankly, any colors BUT White, Yellow, and Red would be great since those three colors are already used by things most people tend to... well... ignore completely.

I've always assumed most of the attack-this-nation talk on WC is meant to be funny. Like half the time it says to attack a nation cuz they have Tubbies in it.

Its probably just me but i tend to get distracted while Im PK hunting on the lands b:surrender either watching my back or finding *** to kick or looking at where to move next without boxing myself in after that. I have rarely looked at chats b:sad
