So I've tried practicing a few times on FW lanes (fire and metal) but Im still finding mobs piling on myself QQ
What would other mystics recommend (tactics/pots/skills/genie skills etc.) in regards to successfully completing a lane. Any advice would be appreciated.b:pleased

Ehh...I can do fire/metal/wood easily on my mystic.
1. Use Storm Mistress if you're not using her already for whatever reason.
2. Use Listless + lysing, Mistress seal (if level 11), knockback, and gale force to keep the head away from you. Keep Falling Petals up. ((Honestly though, my gear is at the point where I can just stand there with the head and tank it.))
3. Trip spark/rapid growth for extra DD if need be.
In any case, I should ask what your gear is like. Sounds like you might be trying to do it and your gear just isn't quite there yet.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I have N2 chest/sleeves/pants TT 99 Boots (farming Lunar Boots atm) Wings of Cloudcharger, Warsong Belt, Ence's Scar G14,R8 Weapon+4 w/ 2 Saph Gems. All my skills are demon (that can be demon) except for energy leech.
I dont think gears are my issue...just how I handle the lane. I've seen N2/N3 able to do it, but I would hope that it doesnt require R9 to do lanes successfully XD
I do use Storm Mistress but I end up getting so worried about the head that I forget about mobs occasionally. Plus when I kite, they end up resetting because I go to far (but not far enough where I hit the apes)
Apologies in advance if my sentences seem weird and broken up Im half asleep atm XD0 -
I agree with Eoria.
I personally don't need to spark to kill the mobs. So I use my chi on Listless/Bramble/Thickets.
I use Storm, but only for DD on the mob, I don't personally use her seal for the head. So Storm is all the time DDing on mobs.
So what I do at the start is I DD on the head to aggro it, than I drop Listless+lysing, than I walk away, it's important that you always keep the head at distance, I send Storm attack the mob (I personally prefer use her in manual mode for defend ws pav) and I DD as well on the mob, when the head wake up I use bramble tornado than I drop thickets, than I DD on the mob, when the head move again I bramble tornado than Listless+lysing, than I continue to DD on the mob and etc. So in resume it's sleep head/push it/thicket/sleep/push/thicket... I keep storm constantly DDing on mob. (if sometimes thickets cd is not done I'll just kite a bit the time it come back or gale force)
I have sage NV so I get a lot of chi when I DD on mob so I always have enough for Listless/Bramble tornado/thickets, I don't know if a demon could have enough chi to do it that way. With cloud eruption maybe it could be possible, but I don't know.
If for some reasons I got more than 2 mobs (happen when sometime I got a lot of increase life) I'll manage to get the head on the mobs and drop thickets than Gale force, than NV to finish kill them if they are still alive. (or you can drop Listless and lysing as well).
For genie skills I personally just use cloud eruption and holy path if needed, but I guess AD could be usefull or extrem poison.
As pots well I just use mp and hp, you can carry dew stars of protection, sutra power orb, I personally don't need them, but chi pots if you think you need it. When I got blinking poultice and Shining Pill I save them for ws in case I got purge while solo pav, it's really rare, but that happen.
If you don't have it yet, Invigorate can help you to deal more damage.
So it's how I personally do, ofc if I need I heal myself.
As Eoria said if you can post a pwicalc or tell us your gears/weap/hp/def (which refine on the weapon) we could more help you and tell you if really it's normal you can't do it or if it's just cause you maybe do something wrong.
what I suggest you is, when you go do a BH snake or cannon (metal/fire), beside wait at the npc teleport in a pav (I suggest fire to start cause it's more easy since you have more space to run) and try to defend it. If people ask what you do, just say you practice defend pav.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You ninja me and posted while I wrote my post, so I wont edit it, your gears seems decent, I personally was using R8/TT99 gears when I started do it, but my weapon was +10, but I saw people with +6-7 do fine, maybe try to refine your weapon to +7 if you can. If you are not pure magic maybe that could explain why you don't kill the mobs enough fast.
And yes when you kite don't kite too much, cause when the head reset it suck to run after her to save the npc and the time you run the mobs still come.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

A note about kiting, if you have to kite the head, I advise small circles/triangles around the mobs, and keep gale forcing - that way you kite the head, hit it with freezes (especially if you're demon), and aoe the mobs
If you have 100 skills you can nuke the mobs if they stack up with a sparked (growthed if needed) lucky break gale force, that'll do serious hurt
Don't kite too close to the NPC, if it gets aggro'd it can make your life hell by pulling in all the mobs
Keep petals up as someone mentioned, make sure your health is always full (explosions on pavs other than water do 80% of your HP, if the head hits you as well or something, it'll toast you)
All the posts above seem to be good ones, so depending on your own play-style, take what people have said, and use the advice as you are ableb:pleasedb:pleasedb:pleased0 -
^ What Marid said.
Personally, my favorite lane is wood, cause usually the cleric gets fire, and I hate how you barely have any space to run around in metal. In wood, all the mobs die before they reach me, specially if I use mistress. With your gears, and if you're not charmed, I wouldn't advise you metal, unless someone holds the head for you. Fire shouldn't be any issue if you follow Marid's advice. What about trying out wood and see how it goes ?0 -
I use devil almost always in pavs- the stun last longer than seal from mistress- it doesnt take any time to cast and doesnt require feeding mana.
kiting, falling petals, push, galeforce are your friends
Don't be afraid to triple spark, especially if you're sage, since chi never runs out
Earth is my fav pav cause they die faster than others and there's sooo much room- but that's using endgame weapon
If your gear isnt great and they pile up in metal/fire just kite/heal/gale/repeat0
