Refining Tactics

I'm not talking about stuff like which elder, squad/chi **** like that (however favourite pony is proven to provoke the refining rates). I'm talking about when to use tienkangs/tishas or even orbs, do you have a routine that works well and efficiently for you? I'm mainly talking about +7 or +9.
I've been playing around with the refine simulator, not yet enough to have great results but I'm wondering which combinations work best. Ignoring the amount of refine aids due to event gold, pricing mirages at around 12,500.

I usually use mirages to +3, tienkang to +5, and tisha to +7. I've refined all my gear to +7 that way using event gold to get the tisha/tienkang, and using around 200 mirages per piece (ranging from 7 mirages on some tt99 wrists to 1k on R9 wrists). Unfortunately I have fairly bad luck, so I haven't tried for more than that for sanity's sake.b:surrender
That sheet is also a nice tool to use.0 -
Well, I actually just know 1 Person that does refining like me, noone else I know is refining everything (even on alts) to +7/8 with Mirage and Tienkang Stones only. Surely it depends on a great amount of luck, but since it sucessfully worked out for me and my freinds for like ~134 times...it can't be sooo luck dependend..
Do it like this:
- Get yourself a fair amount of event Gold (via special bonus offers from random packs maybe)
- Get yourself a fair amount of Mirage (not too much needed, but if u like to refine a few parts...calculate ~700 a piece)
-Dunno if it really matter, but for me it works best when I refine at Archo or City of the Lost elders.
1. Refine everything at least to +3 or +4 with mirage (that should never be a problem, cept your unlucky as hell)
2. After that use Tienkang Stones. (Yeah the first few times it hurts badly when it fails from +6 to +7 or from +7 to +8, but u get used to it =P)
3. Hold down all your thumbs and pray that it will suceed xD
4. That's it, worked for me.
Mostly I need around 22 Tienkang and 420 Mirages each part from +0 to +7, sometimes more, sometimes less...I also got it straight to +7 from 0 with 7 mirage and 4 Tienkang (I started using tienkang at +3, I useally do so, don't do that if u don't have enough event Gold), but u know, the worst try I ever had consumed ~2300 Mirage and 132 Event Gold...that really ruined my day back then xDD
If you just compare the costs for DOrbs from +0 to +7 then it's easy to see that this way saves an incredible amount of money (:
I suggest you just try it out and see if it works for you too (:[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Got at least one alt of any class above level 100.
All decently geared and skilled (: .
And the most important thing is: They are all fun to play ^.^ .

yeah just collect alot of DQ points when 2x drop...refining with tienkhang most of the time will save you alot, rather than orbs...b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
