Could we please get a NW subsection?

I know Venus is only doing her job by merging the threads referring to NW, but the result is an extremely long thread which becomes harder and harder to follow as more is merged into it. If Hey, you! could create a subforum for NW, then Venus could just move the threads that area, while leaving the thread structures intact. b:cute

Perhaps it would work well as a subforum to the PVP section. I'm guessing that there will eventually end up being enough threads on the topic to warrant its own section anyway.

Yes please. It'll save GD from the clutter of NW threads that has appeared lately.
and give Venus a break lol

Great idea and totally true. Merge just makes harder to follow the whole thing for us.

I figure it's better than closing them because at least it shows the scope and massive effect this issue has caused. While at the same time making sure every voice is heard instead of silencing some people by locking their thread altogether and letting it die. b:surrender I do request that everyone just please keep the discussion to the one thread. I wouldn't need to merge and everyone's discussion would follow a normal trail of thought. b:surrender

The problem with the thread at present, i kept up with it, until about the 15th page, when the merging started happening, there were too many different discussions in one spot. There was no focus. So I gave up reading that thread, and if you back track a few page, people are still talking about all random things that it does not make sense. A sub section will serve better.

This expansion has multiple faces, each taking up remarkable space, putting them all in one is not a good solution in my opinion. It creates a disinterest amongst the posters and readers.

Yup, I agree. It's not fun to read, it's not fun trying to post about any other topic even remotely related (thanks to all the thread derailment) and it's not fun to have to do all that merging. It's just that I doubt they'll make a sub section when they never did for TW either. In the meantime, I ask that you guys just try to bear with me. b:thanks Get it? Bear with me? As in the bear smileys? Double meaning woo woo.

Besides, there are still many other fun things to read on here. Like the thread in off-topic about cookies! I like cookies. b:chuckle

There isn't much to discuss about TW except for their outcome, which is more suited for the server subforums. This is because strategies and such are things that factions would rather keep to themselves, and the only thing people would really do is trash-talk other factions.

Nation Wars, on the other hand, have random teams and opponents are anonymous (sort of). There is a fair bit of strategy involved that is open for discussion, which could improve the experience as a whole by educating people on how to play it in the way it was meant to be.

That is very true. I'll ask about it.

Nation War is new and thus we have so many treads dealing with it in GD right now. The same has been true of most everything PWI has added with each new expansion.

Panda sees that people are curious about it and seek more information, however, it needs its own sub-section as much as TW, Warsong, CoA, Morai or any other aspect.

Give it time. People will become familiar with NW, guides will be produced and the number of threads about it will settle down.

Fuzzy is correct. What I'd like to see is a specific thread in relation to suggestions on how to improve Nation Wars. There is a lot that needs to be worked on in order to perfect this new and exciting event, without giving in to either side too much.

There are a lot of complaints and praises out there, and while the current thread for suggestions/complaints is already full of such in regards to the entire update, NW is a big part of it and needs to be easily readable so the messages get clearly across to the Devs at home.

Maybe locking the present thread, and asking people to clearly type out their suggestions in a new, stickied thread and watch it so it doesnt get off track?

Now that Nation Wars is such a huge update in terms of a PvP weekly event, I think that there should be a NW subsection in the PvP Ponderings subforum. It would be great to direct talking of that topic there, as well as beginnings of guides, tips, and suggestions for enjoying the instance to its fullest.

But as Fuzzy said, all new things in an expansion would get talked about often in the General Discussion. But from what I can take, I feel as if the NW aspect of it has been talked the most about, rather than the smaller things like the skill rebalance, new/updated quests, and miscellaneous changes that were not listed.

    ^^ This.

Plus, technically discussions about it should go into Dungeons & Tactics, but most people don't bother to look for the other forums for information. So, until the hubub dies down and some guides are written in the proper forums, it's probably better here.

We didn't have Hey, you! back then though. If he could get the INI changes passed, I have hope he could also give NW its own subforum. (That also goes for any other topics that are discussed frequently enough to deserve their own section, I'd suppose).
