Thicket make me lag

For some reason everytime I use Thicket on a huge group of mobs (10+) I get a lag and the game freeze for a few seconds. It is quite a problem since for example in fc big room on full I get like 20 secs freeze before I can even see what happend - sometimes heads are already on before I unfreeze. I am afraid it might make other people lag too and make the squad wipe so I don't use the skill too often - only when I have to.

Yeah, I know I can use Cragglord instead but Thicket is such a cool skill - if it didnt make the lag it could be really usefull in saving everyone - sealed mobs can't attack so the team is save for a few seconds reguired for other people to kill the mobs. But the lag make it kinda useless.

Any idea what to do to prevent this huge lag? My connection is fine (my ping in game is usually between 60-300, my connection speed is 1-3Mb/s), computer too (fps in regular gameplay 40+, in Arch square about 10fps). I am running on low details. My comp is 3,20GHz (4 CPU), 2,99RAM, graphic card 1GB.

Usually my game works smooth. No other aoe skill (Gale Force works ok) on any char make me lag. Just Thicket do it.

Turn down effects down when in instances, I suppose.

When I do it (even just to 3/4) I don't see the rounds around blow up hands for example in TT or 79.

You can do as Venus said and when you go in TT or bh79 turn back on at the hands spot than turn back down after.

Personally the only skill that make my screen froze for 2-3 seconds is Tangling Mire (genie skill) and that do the same thing to my boyfriend, I don't know if other people freeze too.

I never had problem of frozen screen with thicket.

This. You shouldn't using thicket at the hands boss in FC either so just turn it back on when you're about to do him. And turn if off when he dies.

Same for me with TM. But I never froze with thicket o_o
