    Uninstall whatever garbage one you have and install Avast or MSE.

    Speaking of garbage av, which one are you using?
    I'd love to know which crappy av thinks patcher.exe is a virus.

    That even sounds like a malware of it's own, definitely replace it with something better...

    I thought everyone just used norton cause they couldn't be bothered uninstalling the trial...

    Just ditch it, and get avast or microsoft security essentials
    One of those + malwarebytes is all you need.

    Norton is the worst... it has a tendency to totally botch your Windows install when you uninstall it...

    for awhile my security, trend micro, detected pwi's forums as dangerous, but that was only due to the botting on forums.

    this game is clean, as long as you operate through this website alone. people who have tried to find ways to cheat in this game with external website content get messed up

    You are so terribly misinformed...

    Trend micro is also another crappy av. Avast or MSE. Now.

    That's why it's just best to do a clean install of Windows as soon as you get it, get's rid of all crapware in one go and doesn't take that long to do...

    You can get the ISOs from Microsoft for free and only need key on machine itself

    I just opt to restore from a system image every 60 days to refresh the trial (that's me getting them back for being annoying) and really if left alone norton is a pretty decent anti virus anyway.

    Not really, it could explicitly tell Norton that it's a virus and it'd miss it...

        bloat();
        makeSystemSlow();
        sleep(1800);
        sendVirusDetectedAlarm();
    }

    Webroot is so expensive for the poor job it does. >< I got sweet talked into getting it with my dell machine at Best Buy. As soon as my license expired I ditched it. One version of it didn't even let me add exceptions. b:surrender

    Anyway, moving this to the tech support forum because this question has been answered there many times. And since you're having this issue you may need additional help since some people had to disable their av completely.

    You should never ever have to, or do, that...

    Provided you use one that isn't ****... such as Avast or MSE...
