Is anyone else getting oddly high damage numbers for absorb soul after the expansion? Absorb soul unamped on an on-level mob is hitting for upwards of 100k+, and triple spark is seeing numbers close to 200k. I realize it has a chance to do 1.3x damage, but they seemed to have overbuffed it?

I did some quick and dirty tests, and it seems as if absorb soul now takes into account attack and defense levels, but only in pve. So now it's actually a pretty decent nuke to use for dps in pve when triple sparked.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I didnt notice any difference when using AS after NV. Also, didnt notice any difference when using RG+NV+AS - which are my usual routines using AS. There may be a difference there as well, but I didnt notice it today.
I wouldnt notice any difference with TSp+AS, because I always save my sparks for Vital Herb, Craggy, and Energy Leech applications. If your tests are correct, it sounds pretty awesome. Might just change up my gameplay a bit.

P.S. I like to tank mobs into a cluster when doing GBQs. I usually gather 4 to 5 together and RG+GF them all. I know I saw at least 1 mob in the group get hit for something like 43K on more than one occasion, but I wasnt sure if that was a rebalance thingy or not (unsurety based on new sleeves that gave me a +8 boost to Magic). It is about 15 to 20K more damage than usual...ijs.0 -

If this change only affects PVE... then this is unusual. I've tested Seekers Edged Blur (which is also a DoT that bypasses def lvls and AD) in duels and it definitely takes into account attack levels there.
Also over on the Psy forums they have been testing their immune bypassing DoT (namely Telekinesis) as well and it seems to work with attack levels fine in PVP tests over there too.
