    I like to say hello in Spanish because to me hola sounds better than hello. So when the person actually thinks I can speak Spanish this is how it goes.

    Me: Hola
    them: HOLA como estas? (hi, how are you?)
    Me: bien gracias, y tu? (good thanks, and you?)
    them: bien. (insert a bunch of spanish here)
    Me: ......salsa.
