Just a question. Why was that closed? Lately i see too many threads getting closed for no reason at all, especially threads that are wanting discussions, threads that are not even getting trolled are being closed, and threads where people are wanting advice on which toons they should pick was also closed. Why? Not Everyone has enough time to go and make 3 different toons and test which one is best, its easier to gather pro's and con's to each class from players who have already experienced it.
I know this thread will probably get closed, but why are threads being closed for no reason. There is no reason to close a thread where people are discussing everything in a respectful manner. As for this thread http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1508351&page=3 You closed it just cause you didn't like her opinion? I enjoyed reading that thread and wanted to post when i got home but was already closed.
Idk if im the only one feeling this way, but yeah anyone else feel this way? Ill ignore the trolls that come in here. I just wanna know why the overdose of closing threads lately. b:surrender

Freedom of speech doesn't mean what you think it does. Freedom of speech means you can say what you want (barring obscenity or fighting words) in public without fear of government reprisal. Private citizens are still able to protect their private property (eg you can't say what you want in someone's house, inside their restaurant, or on their forum. ) from whatever and whomever they want. Meaning forums can set rules for speech, your friends can throw you out of their homes and lives for having a different political opinion, businesses don't have to let you protest their practices inside their store, etc.
@OP
This is going to be closed as well. Any thread questioning modding is automatically closed. You'll have to PM Fuzzy on that one.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

This. As out of line and unreasonable as that was.. Fuzzy has a tendency to pull **** like that with a large degree of frequency. And I'm not someone who says things like that about the mods much but in this case he had no right nor real reason to close that thread and his rant of disagreement with ONE person just shoves it clearly into the realm of indisputable abuse of power.
But, of course, this will be locked or not depth'd (most likely by fuzzy) for discussing a locked thread because the rules have 0 wriggle room ONLY WHEN it happens to be reasonable to deviate some but that goes against someone's power trip.
No disrespect meant to Fuzzy but seriously. Half the things you do make me bang my head against a wall wondering what in the bloody hell the point of doing it is. Especially when you get overly stubborn.0 -

Yeah agreed, i don't post much on forums except by Dreamweaver but i do try to keep up with things so its just a thing i noticed, that alot of threads are getting closed for no reason at all. The reasons that are given are just plain stupid. As for what fuzzy said in the thread i mentioned, i had 1 line to sum it up: "If Devs really cared for pwi they would listen to their player base." but yeah couldnt say that QQb:surrenderlalalala Pokemon

The issue here is more an abuse of power. It isn't the first time, either. I distinctly recall another thread where another mod closed it and Fuzzy re-opened it to say the final word and then close it again.Proving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

People tend to think that forums are democracy.
It's far far away from democracy, and that's really a good thing.
If you're moderator on any big forums, you'll understand this.0 -

Again, the question wasn't raised about free speech. This forum has rules, as does consenting to be a moderator on any forum. I do not believe any "big forums" allow their moderators to simply do as they damn well please.Proving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

I'm aware of the issue that is being raised in this thread. Although, I gotta say making a thread about this just going to result in this thread being closed. A lot more would be accomplished by just talking it over with the mods with a private message.
The freedom of speech thing is simply a personal pet peeve of mine. But it seems to be derailing things a bit, so I'll digress. Wasn't trying to do that. Just pointing out a fact.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Skog thinks that hating on the panda is justified in this case. Skog hates that the panda went all anal on Bubbles and thinks the panda should be forced to open a sticky saying how sorry the panda is. Skog thinks this will not happen because the panda has no morals. Skog cries at the actions of the heartless panda. b:cry[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

It probably will yeah, but like fudgedecus said, Mods have rules too don't they? We are players of this game just like mods, we have the right to state our opinions as long as its in a respectful manner, this whole thread is being discussed in a respectful manner. In the thread mentioned, there was no respect towards bubbles, and of course it was closed after his post. That way he doesn't receive a response from bubbles because how can i say this, some people cant handle the truth. So they block it out as much as possible. Thats what he was doing there.
If you want people to understand your opinion, explain it to them in a calm collective manner, instead of ranting like a woman on their period who is in desperate need of a tampon. And really? Has this community become so immature that one person goes all emo on another persons *** for disagreeing with their opinion? Really nowb:chuckle
I can't find the other thread now. But there was one where a guy asked Mystic wizzy or psy. That was closed almost instantly before players could give feedback on what class is best. As i said in my first post, not everyone has the time to test every class out like fuzzy told the OP to do. Its just plain rude when you want to have a decent discussion about things and someone closes the thread, especially a thread like that.
I have also noticed a huge lack of activity in our forums lately, whether its cause of all the threads being closed i wouldn't know but i use to be able to be at class and every 5min there'd be a new thread discussing things, but now each time someone tries it gets closed, so maybe thats why our forum community is diminishing?lalalala Pokemon

I have to agreee, stop ****ing closing threads. What kind of fool pays for a free game.0

I think he closed that thread because I was being too "pessimistic".
He got a bit too defensive over the game's current handlers (after all archosaur studio made perfect world and its assets, wanmei only manages it and patches it together).
The thing is, I have no qualms about the game itself. It's Wanmei that really pisses me off to no end after finding out they are pretty much holding a great game back. It sounds more like a conspiracy theory, I know, but the best comparison I can think that describes what is going on with Perfect World and Wanmei is what goes on with the games being made by developer groups that were bought out by EA (take their most recent p2p mmo for example, not even a year since it's out and it's turning f2p).
What he has to realize is that I'm not trying to spell doom and gloom for pw.
It's just that with Wanmei in charge, I can't find anything cheerful to say about them other than the expansions and few events + conventions that they have going on from time to time. I try to hint at what Wanmei does because I think you guys have a right to have some sort of clue of what goes on behind the scenes.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Well, I do have to close this, but I'll just....
I do not believe any "big forums" allow their moderators to simply do as they damn well please.
