Water and Fire Orbs

Ok this quest is really getting on my nerves.

QUEST SAYS:

"Talk to the chief of Immolation Camp when you have both orbs. One who has killed the Onyxian Transience should have a fire orb. One who kills the Alabaster Transient should have a water orb."

I have made several squads over the last month and NO ONE gets ANYTHING from these 2 bosses. Today i had 2 different sins and a cleric kill both twice and no one got anything. The cleric gave me 800k to just buy them and finish the quest but no one is selling them either which makes me think no one else is getting these orbs from the bosses.

Is the quest broke or something?b:surrender

    Is this the fire spirit orb you are talking about? Quest snatch?

    If it is, 20% drop rate. If not, best to give quest name, rather than description.

    If the quest is Water and fire

    Killing these two bosses Onyxian Transience and Alabaster Transience should get your fire and water orb. The chance drop is 100%. If not getting it, check inv space, more than 3 empty slots to be safe. Check if your quest item inv is full? Is your quest list full? Were you meditating when the boss got killed? Or the quest could be simply broken, but i don't think it is, could be wrong though.

    That quest is not exactly broken, but there's one thing to it that I consider buggy: you cannot turn a previous quest that asks you to kill onix/alabaster boss before you get 2 fire/water orbs. You can then trade one of your orbs (you can only get either fire or water, not both) with someone who chose the other path.

    If you turned your first quest in, then you won't be able to get either of the orbs, unless someone is selling them, which should be quite rare seeing that most people just straight powerlevel, ignoring the cave of glee at all.

    The good thing is: that quest doesn't give so much of a reward, and it's not needed for anything. So I would just trash it if I were you.

    its the quest Water and Fire. and NEITHER drops. i have ran this several times. i have plenty of space in inv, questlog full at 85? are you kidding me? LOL! i wasnt meditating i was DDDing... and thats why i was asking if its broken.

    Been so long ago i dont remember turning in another quest... why would they give you a quest you can not do?

    Haven't thought about that quest in years, but IF I remember correctly. . .

    Depending on which option you chose on a much earlier quest, I forget which - maybe the old Tower of Darkness one, you can only ever get one of those orbs.

    To complete the quest you have to have someone with the opposite orb trade it to you. That of course leaves the other person with no orbs.

    Say you do your quest and get the fire orb. So long as you don't turn in that quest, the fire orb SHOULD still keep dropping for you. This is how people used to get past it. You'd do the quest a couple of times to get multiple orbs, then find some random person who had extras of the other orb.

    Most importantly to know :
    The quest reward is garbage, and it's completely not worth worrying about.

    So the ultimate solution to completing that quest is :

    1.) Smile politely
    2.) Flip the NPC the bird.
    3.) Say out loud "**** this buggy quest."
    4.)Go on about your day.

    I dont WANT to skip it i WANT to figure out why its not dropping ANYTHING. Chalk it up to me being a "gotta know why" person but i want to figure it out.

    Oh btw, it's not a quest drop from the "Water and Fire" quest. It's actually a drop from the "Arch Evil" quest. Make sure you've picked that one up too. Sorry forgot that part in my first post.

    The "Water and Fire" quest only requires you to turn both the orbs in once you already have them.

    This is the problem. 'The Arch Evil" gives the orbs and is the stage you can trade at. However, once you turn it in and continue to Water and Fire, you can no longer obtain the orbs.

    Basically, due to how the quest is designed, if you aren't aware in advance and trade before continuing... then you're screwed and have to buy from another player or make a new character for it/hope you have a friend that hasn't done the orb rewarding quest and can give you theirs.
