I am clearly not a math geniusb:surrender and I need to compare stage 2 daggers with SS to stage 3 ones. I've asked a couple of sins and they've said it's worth upgrading, but I'm still not convinced.

So I come here, in hope of finding a genius to help me out. (Yes, I have tried searching the forum for similar threads but have not come up with one, if there's such a thread then please direct me to it).b:shutupb:thanks


So here are the two builds I want compared:

2nd stage dags:

The reason 3rd stage only has 1 socket and vit stat is because I'm not expecting an ideal roll of stats.

    Well, by upgrading, you would gain 14% overall damage.

    Though whether that's worth losing the SS proc is a personal matter.

    Personally, if I had a weapon like that, I wouldn't upgrade. The costs just aren't worth the increase. Heck, you could just +12 the G15 and it'd be superior.

    Judging from those builds,G16s (3rd stage) should have about 20% more damage than the G15s (2nd stage with SS) ones.

    Only if you're somehow ignoring the SS proc. And if you're doing that, you might as well go down to G13, better defenses.

    Hmm didn't see he had some DoTs on his gear.That means the 40 atk lvls from G16 would make a smaller difference so yeah,the damage increasement would be closer to 15% than 20%.Anyway if i ignored SS it would be about 30% more not 20%.

    I`d still prefer 3rd stage since the damage is constant, ss or gof is not reliable, besides it takes away your hp, I have seen many sins simply die from it.

    Sidenote: It makes me sad to see that you have +10 armors, a +10 weapon, sharded full of DoTs and Citrine Gems... and your ornaments are +5.

    Honestly, get your ornaments to +10 before you start thinking of a better weapon. That's just pathetic.

    I agree, having Gof/SS on a weapon is purely a personal choice. When I first upgraded to G15 I was hoping for att lvl and int, but the only int i received after 20+ rerolls was with SS and Patt so I kept it. I upgraded my g15's later for more consistent damage and attack levels purely for TW and to complement my R9 armor(well when i get it refined/sharded).

    b:laugh I left the ornaments alone when I was playing with the two builds because I was pondering which weapon would be better. Most of my sins gear is sitting at +6 right now, the only pieces I have +10 is weapon and helmet, which was why I wanted to know which wep would be better before i upgrade gear (and +11 current daggers).

    Yup, the G16 would be about 14% better on average, accounting for the average 15% increase from the SS proc.

    And that obviously means that if I'm luckier with stats and sockets the damage output will be even higher.
