GumyBear - Raging Tide

I have phy. defense shards in most of my gear and I was wondering if I should put different shards in the gear since I usually don't get hit and don't like pvp just yet.

might want to consider getting some pdef neck and belt, any decent 3*, mold or TT pdef ornament that gives +pdef/+vit/+mag and +2-3ing most of your gear, the garnets dont really hurt that much at lower lvs but should try to regain some of the hp "lost" by refining the gear.

Ok so the pdef shards are ok for now, that's what your saying? And how about endgame, which shards should I get? HP?

Endgame is jades or tigers depending on if you want offense or defense. Aside from that, next would mostly be vit stones. If that's still not a possible for you, I'd suggest garnets once your armor refines give you a good base in HP. Before that point, a mix of garnets and citrines would be best overall.

I shard 1:2 garnet to cit on my mystic, though it's about personal preference. To be quite honest, you could shard pure cit if you never pve, without any issues.
I don't like sharding pure garnet simply because arcane armour refines so poorly. I couldn't get on pwicalc for some reason so couldn't check your gear, so no idea what your price-range is.

ok pwcalc is working, and I can now see your orns.

Get pdef orns, that should be your focus. When I said you could get away with pure cit for pve I was assuming pdef necklace, belt and possibly a ring. Never use mdef orns on a caster unless you've switched to channeling to up dps in an instance (note I said switch to, you should have pdef orns as your main gear)
