Is it worth it to farm?

During 2x or not, either way. Just a general question.

Assuming you DONT have a load of R9 or R8refine+12 or APS friends that can sneeze the dungeon and they all die.

Im curious because, the way i earn is from merchanting. which is easy money. But depending on the diffcultly (or lack of) in farming, its also a thought to try...

Cathulion - Dreamweaver

X2 during Nirvana is the only thing worth farming coins wise. TT/Warsong for endgame gear. It depends on what you are wanting.

Instances? No. Events, yes. Unless you're geared up or have REALLY good friends/faction members farming just isn't worth it on its own. Farming to supplement merching, sure. "Farming" events also works well. But if you don't have the ability to efficiently solo or duo an instance then farming it is ALMOST always not worth it.

Euthymius - Heavens Tear

DQ - Usually not worth it unless its 2x or an Archosaur Assault.

NV - No one will run it unless its 2x, though Caster NV is usually done regardless, and that's still decent coin. You dont need to be all that "overpowered" for it either.

TT - Can be done during non-2x periods, but you'd have to solo/duo it for the best results regardless.

Lunar - Good luck finding a squad who'll want to help you with this. If you do though, the Essences of Defense and additional materials (elemental essences/Fragment and Transparent Crystals, molds and some of the golds from the bosses are of decent value.

Warsong - No idea, though Ive seen it being run regardless of 2x as long as there's interest.

Farming is worth it for the entertainment factor if you're bored and want to go kill things.

IMHO, if money is your main goal, merchanting will likely yield better results.

Empu - Sanctuary

Imo, there are only a few places that are worth it coin wise even in 2x. Even nirvana, with Sanc prices, isn't really worth it at 2x with those 5min squads. Ppl spam it so much that prices don't even go up to the pre-2x price anymore before a new 2x arrives.

I agree with Tsukyini, farming is worth it for the entertainment factor and it's good you do get some money out of it. Coin wise, I think on the long run doing 6 bh a day gives me more coins then spending that same cumulated time in nirvana or TT on 2x.

Olbaze - Sanctuary

It depends on what character you're playing.

If you don't have friends, you're pretty much stuck with either:

• having good gear yourself
• having stealth
• having APS

Then again, it also depends on personal aspects, like whether you cash shop, what kind of gear you already have, what would you be farming for, whether you merchant.

For example, I'm a 5.0 +10 sin, yet since I'm also a merchant, I don't really like farming too much. I lasted a grand total of 3 days of ~10 runs a day during this 2x before I got bored of it. Then again my goals are already "reached", as I'm just waiting for the right sale to happen for my next planned upgrades.

It's a game, it's make to play, i can understand people merchant.

For some farming worth it, for other not.

Example: i need 1k canny, i could just sit in south let my shop get money to buy the 1k canny, but what the point i'm doing nothing? So i do both, my shop is in west and i do caster in random squad so i get canny more cheap and save money for something else.

Some people hate PvE and farming, but i don't mind farming, that keep me motivate and at the end i'm proud when i farmed my stuff.

I always farm stacks of Compound Oil's during 2x and wait for them to go back up to 30k+ each.

I seem to have different progression as i play this game. I started out farming, since my lvl was low and had literally 0~1k coins. I saved some coins, started my business. I got 2 5 aps characters, and lvling a few more, because aps is all fun and great, but the real farming instances are not all aps related.

Basically farmer>merchnat>got gear>farming+merchanting (because next set of gear is expensive, merchanting alone will take long).

Just have to find things that you like to farm. There are several instances that don't require 2x for people to be interested in, nor is it aps dependent. Warsong (getting badges, never can have enough), pq, delta, lunar (depending on how you open it), caster vana (if talis could be piled up, caster will become like normal, only run during 2x for most people), tt (one word: acyclical), AEU. I am sure there are some more others are interested in, but those are the ones i usually do.

I merchant and farm, works well, if I get bored of farming I just merch, but since I lack patience my profits from merchanting are mediocre.
