3rd cast nv question

Please excuse my noobness, I quit for a couple years.

So I saw this sin with 3rd cast nv, but was only +5.

I asked "why is it only +5? Someone like you should be able to afford +10/11/12."

He said "Do you not know anything about 3rd cast?"


So I don't really know what he means by this. If someone can answer me, that would be nice.

we had those+12 orb packs to get a cheaper +12 orbs by chance
and a reasonable +10 sale tho

I do not have 3rd cast.

But it takes 4 mirages per refine afaik.

They could be recasting it for higher/new stats, or just bad luck refining.
Weapon - 5 mirages per attempt
Gear - 1 mirage per attempt

Not everyone can afford to refine the newly farmed gear to the max, also already mentioned that you lose everything (refines and shards) if you re-roll stats, besides nv3 non refined weapon out damages even g13 nirvana +10, if not even more.

Actually 3rd cast nirvana is easy to farm, while +10/11/12 can cost a lot of money. I don't know what he meant though, you should have maybe ask him, there's not stupid questions, just stupid answers, his answer was stupid.

3rd stage Nirvana isn't 3rd stage R9. You can farm 3rd stage Nirvana pretty easy, you don't have to spend coins, just farm nirv and do couple of full warsong runs. But to buy +10 orb or +11/+12 orbs costs a freaking huge amount of coins right now.

Also, 3rd Stage Nirvana doesn't have fix stats on weapon, so he might do more re-rolls to get stats he/she wants.

Stats on Third stage Nirvana vary each time you roll them and when you do you lose refines/shards unless you decide to use chienkun stones. In which case you'd be spending hundreds of millions.

There's also the fact that getting S3 is basically a "free" upgrade from Stage 2 nirvana, it requires little money and pure farming for badges/essences. So the gear itself does not really reflect on how wealthy someone is because it is easily doable to just farm the entire set. Assuming they did farm it/are farming it, that means that they will start farming their refines/shards next o-o

And also what others have said, we haven't had any decent d.orb sales in a long time. I have full R9 and a piece is sitting at +7 and my helm/cape at +6 because I refuse to pay 3x of what I would during a sale to +10 all 3 pieces o-o

LOl...I like how you say a "couple Warsong runs".
It's 10 run minimum to even make the weapon, plus all the runs you'll need for badges to reroll cause chances are you won't get a roll you like first try. Still not hard to do...but very misleading to say a couple.


To the OP - He was likely referring to 1 of 2 things since he specified not knowing 3rd cast.
1) He's still rerolling. You lose refine with every reroll unless you're rich enough to Chienkung every reroll.

2)He's just referring to the OPness of 3rd stage. At +5 he's out damaging pretty well every other lower grade weapon out there at +10. Not all, but most.

It took me 3 months to farm the raptures I needed for 3th cast Nirvana weapon, where am I suposed to get the money to +12 that sucker from?

soo thats why mirage stack was significantly less than i remembered it when i checked it
