What happened to TW? O.o

I was shocked yesterday when the TW schedule was announced and realized that EIGHT lands were not bid on, and I counted at least 4 alts factions there.

I remember only 6 months ago a bunch of factions couldn't make it in the 1st bid and now eight lands are free from bids o.O

Did PWI population decrease so dramatically or ppl don't give a f about TW anymore?
I think it is both.

Anyway, this is how Lost City server TW looks like...

And I was wondering... what about other servers?

    I think the change of the bidding requirements killed it for many. Sure overall you're really paying 90% less then the initial bid, but I don't think the smaller factions are aware of this and can't afford the 10mil minimum bids.

    Population could play a factor as well.

    HT is slammed full here. I actually paid 30mil to secure my bid for myself.

    I agree with you there a lot of people are not aware of that xD.


    And My server has a few lands too with no Bids and im pretty sure lower population was also a factor

    Whats really not clear is what happens when you bid the 10m + and then are later outbid. Is this returned or lost for good?

    Sanctuary has 5 lands unbidded on. I'm assuming people are either ignorant of the promised refund or don't have confidence in PWE's ability to execute it.

    M0st are just beginning t0 realize TW is b0ring and in the end they will be r0lled by the larger facti0ns within a day/few weeks etc etc.

    I just confirmed with Frankie you will receive 90% of your bid back whether you win / lose tw or are outbid.

    I asked in a couple threads here about whether bids would change from the Big Notes. Never got an answer so had to assume that the continued Big Note bids would be a continuation of the program. This also means that the refunds are still being done manually and can run 4 to 5 weeks to get back the refunds. 10 million coins (1 Big Note) for a starting bid, is a bit much.

    Younger factions have shortages of coins, especially if they're buying a Base or upgrading one. Additionally, there is the tower costs which are still 500K each (16 towers = 8 million) per PvP TW and the cata scrolls at 20k each.

    We lucked out and got back 4 refunds last week. Many factions would be hard pressed to have over 100 million out on bids & waiting on refunds and be able bid competatively on TWs. I hope that PWI can get the refunds down to 2 weeks at least to help out the factions without deep pockets.

    Maybe the smaller factions will be able to stay on their maps long enough to make a Big Note or 2 for PvP TW bids. Good luck to all and have fun playing the game.

    I think you might find that some factions are holding off jumping on the map until they see where other factions are going to be based, and plan their strategies around who is where.

    I could be wrong but I believe cheze said that mobs in lunar got a HP increase that made TM near impossible with alts...

    ...Also PW has no sense...their changes that "enhance gameplay" are unimaginative and drive away players.

    ...increases crystal hp and increasing bid price really doesn't make it less boring.
