Foreign Players..

Ever run tt or ff , bh or something and get the classic one or two players who gets everyone killed then does"nt have a clue what they are doing, and when you tell them what to do its always. they rant something to you in spanish or. "sorry I know good english >.> and i'm sure alot of you gonna think i'm a jerk for this telling me they have their rights and all blah blah blah.. but spare me lectures lmfao. foreign players drive me crazy. i know they get to you to and probably effed up alot of your nirvana tt runs lols :P

for those of you in havens tear server. ever done any runs in anything with pple from HISPANOS faction?? lol

I suppose you meant "Heavens Tear."( Sometimes English can be challenging even if you're not a foreigner. *grins*) I've squaded with members of Hispanos and although there is often a language barrier most of the time they know what their role was. Hopefully they felt the same about me! I've had more problems lately with powerlevelers who speak the same language but have no clue how to play their chosen class. If you're not sure just check before you're about to die! As a general rule I usually don't squad with players whose names or faction names I cannot pronounce!

I don't think you're a jerk for this as I have had the same situations you speak of as well. Just thought I would add my 2 cents in!b:chuckle

Yep! But most of the time the {HISPANOS} Guild Members, usually have atleast 1 of their faction on squad whos (Bi-lingual) so its never really bugged me that much b4 about it......

Remember, it is a global game, though granted, based in the US, but, to them, you are the foreigner porque tu no hablas Espanol y muy torpe. Yes I did not put accents on letters. I'm typing on my phone. And more than likely when they are typing their native tongue, they are possibly complaining as well. I have found that 99% of the players that speak a language other than English, at least type fairly comprehensible English. Not only that, I run into a lot of people from the states that type so badly, its like trying to read a mix of Swahili, Russian, and uneducated

And agreed, many powerlevelled people are muy estupida tambien.

I'm foreign myself if you mean foreign as a non U.S player, albeit I'm not Spanish.
However I myself also refuse to squad with Hispanos faction members on HT because every single time I have been in a squad with one of their members, it has been a complete disaster. To top it off every single time I also could not communicate with them to give them instructions or aide them in any way.
And the thing that pissed me off the most was a long time ago one of them kept repeatedly wiping us in an FF by AoEing at the hands boss, after telling him or her not to several times they responded with "Jajajajajajajajaja".
I don't know what the hell "Jajajajajajajajaja" is but I told that person that they can go stick it where the burrito comes out of and just left the squad :P

I don't mind being in squad with people from other cultures at all, it can be fun even if sometimes the language barrier makes it hard to understand them. I do ask though that at the minimum they know the squad basics in English so they can understand what the squad needs them to do. Like "pull," "over there," "here," "skill names and their abbreviations," etc. I mean I wouldn't go play another game with a language barrier and expect to just wing it and potentially mess things up. I'd find a friend in-game who spoke the same language as I did and then asked them various questions and would write the down what I need to know as a reference. As long as there is basic communication, its really not a problem. But some people just refuse to learn even basic communication and that is the kind that is frustrating. Happens with English speaking players too, mostly hyper babies. But at least you don't have to deal with a language barrier and a general lack of knowledge of the game, which is why you probably don't remember them as distastefully.

I've been in squads where I'm the only one who prefers English as my main(And only) way of communication, and the language barrier was a huge factor in the success of the squad. Like a frost squad yesterday, while a few knew how to speak (A little) English, very really was it done until I was at the end of my tether >.<

In the end, I fell back on having google translate pulled up and alt+tabbing whenever I had time, and the first thing I got was cleric abuseb:surrender (Though warranted, there were two clerics (95, me and 82?) and so after dropping a I thought I could stack a few ih's then help with DD, clearly, no one picked up since the other cleric started to DD as well 8'D. Did as much as I could then had to halfway through because of time restraints.)

I'm sure they were lovely people, but playstyles differ and a few instructions in English; Just simple words, heal, stop, go, etc, would be really nice. If any of you are reading this, sorry for your deaths, had no charger orbs on me to catch up with you allb:cryb:surrender

You seem to be upset. And I think you are also seeing us saying "Hispanos" as in the ethnic group. But there's an actual faction called Hispanos on HT. A faction whom every member I've had the chance of partying with does not speak a word of English.
I don't care what race someone is or color or w/e. My faction has a lot of Hispanic players who I squad up with regularly.
I however will openly say that I do not and will not squad with someone who I can not communicate with; whether it be Hispanics, Whites, African, Arabic, German or Marsians.

there is no need to deal with them in the least they are a group wish can do there own stuff.

just know that even if this server is inglish there is no need to talk or understand it.

see for them this is a game not a comunity where you sit and talk about ur rl.

there is no need for you to talk with them so dont.

but just dont hate them cos they do not talk inglish or write inglish as this is a game.

id think the problem most ppl have is that a majority of the non-english speaking players are just plain stupid regardless of nationality and dont even bother to try to atleast communicate with the squad to get better/easier results.

No, you should use the language of the country you're in because you're in that country. This games servers are based in the USA and most people on it speak English. If I went to play over in PWCN I would like up the Chinese terms for things. If you don't, you have zero right to be mad if people are frustrated with you. It isn't your fault that there is a language barrier when you download a game that is based in another country. You don't have to interact with the players from that country on a daily basis. But if you make zero effort to communicate with other people when you are there, then you have no right to be mad at them for making the same amount of effort to include you in things.

And of course the United States has a culture and it has been studied by anthropologists all over the world the same as any other culture. It may not be one that dates back thousands of years, because it is a new culture. But it is still a culture. And there are many things that link Americans together. Many ways you can tell them apart from say people from Britain. Because it is distinctive, observable, and different than others.

Actually the probem is that some hispanic ppl, are full of something unpleasant, im hispanic, mexican in fact, but i have to admit, the most of the hispanic ppl just follow the newest things, like plving, sins buying tm, or u know, let the squad wipe, which is very sad because is a shame for us..

In the other hand there r a lot of hispanic ppl who knows what have they to do, like frijolero or antz for example.

Meh, I don't get why people would play a game they don't even understand. It's just asking for trouble. Sanctuary doesn't have it as bad anymore though, it used to be worse a year ago I would say. People who don't speak English at all are just frustrating.

Again, you seem to be completely missing the entire point of what I wrote.
I don't hate them, I don't dislike them. I am doing what you're telling me and I choose NOT to squad/do stuff with people from that faction.
I'm sure they are good people that just want to have some fun, but when I for example WC "LFM BH Metal" and one of their members responds and I am aware that he/she does not speak English then I would not invite them.
I would even go as far as to kicking them if I invite someone from that faction and it urns out that they do not speak English. It's not a matter of liking or disliking. I don't believe I even said anything about disliking anyone so I am completely clueless as to how you got that from anything I posted in here.

got along well with frijolero and several dozen others but more often than not met a hispanic that honestly made me cringe at the thought of being the same species, let alone the same race.....b:surrender

it hasnt been AS bad on RT either albeit ive been loggin less so might just be seeing less as a result. about a year ago more or less, the hispanic fac was pretty much the congregation fac for alot of the non-fluent english speaking hispanics (altho that was mainly their choice on wanting to stick together and such). but it really gave some groups/factions a pretty bad rep in general for some members who were just not right in the head.
RT has more or less primarily been separated like such throughout (Russian Guild / Hispanic Guild / think 2-3 non english speaking guilds) the only ones that rly gave alot of trouble were the ones that werent as "closeknit" as say the russian guild, which was pretty good and i believe had some fluent english speakers as well, but the others pretty much did w/e came up and screwed up alot of runs for ppl.

i meet 7 year old kids who played nicely so if a 7 year old can play a mmo someone who cant inglish should know his role with or without inglish.
