How to beat venomancers?

so i am a r8 psy and i have troubles fighting venomancers that are my lvl and that have their morai skills and a herc like srsly i tried everything psychic will>soul of retaltion>soulburn pet>dd on veno they use bramble gaurd wich reduce damage dramaticly and i end up losing because they will seal me whit that bird morai skill and i will be helpeless and they will pruge my white voodo psyhic will soul of retal and they would kick my *** hard how do i beat them? like i see we are completely helpless now fighting venomancers whit their new skills also i have troubles fighting clerics whit their new 'soulburn'morai skill wich lasts 1min and their new morai freeze and silence skill and many more its like we don't even stand a chanse anymore agains clerics and venomancers im verry depsresed because i always tought psychics were strong but now i see many more classes are stronger than them i find this so unfair why did they give psy so much **** skills? like why didnt they give us better dd skills like most classes got im so angry and i tried spirit phalanx but no the veno will wait till it will wear of and wil attack me i tried telekenises but no i dont even get the chanse to use it she will turn me into a bird and pruge me before ican do anything i tried soulburning clerics but no they will easily outheal my soulburn i tried a tide spirit combo but no they use their ****** lvl 79 shields and most of my attacks wont do ***** PSYHICS ARE WEAK AND I KNOW IT ONLY AT R9 THEY ARE DECENT BECAUSE OF THE EVER 2 OR 1 HIT SILENCE OR IF YOU HAVE GOOD GEAR BUT THE AVARAGE R8 PLAYERS ARE CONSIDERED AS A BIG **** SORRY FOR THE RAGE BUT SERIOUSLY ARENT YOU NOTICING IT YOURESELF?

    dot spells go through invoke/bramble buff at full damage

    Just because you can't play, doesn't mean r8 Psychics are weak lol.

    First off, every class is able to take out every other class if the player knows their own class well and knows their opponent's class at least fairly well. The only exception to this that I have really noticed so far, are vs those classes/players that know how to sleep/stun lock you over and over again, thus spending all of your defenses against sleep and stuns until you are basicly helpless.

    There are a number of possible aspects involved here. If the veno was in foxform, this might have been useful, if not then nope. If the veno's pet was on you, this might have been useful. However, if the veno was casting on you while their pet was on you, you got taken in by their "pet distracting" you. Psy will would be useless in this case. Also, psy will is not as long a duration as it might sound, like 8-10 seconds i think. It is possible your psy will went down pretty fast.

    This, um... NO. soulburn vs the veno pet is absolutely not an efficient use of this skill. Soulburn should have been on the veno if you were going to cast this while vs a veno. Another aspect of soulburn is the fact, your soulforce is what stands behind your soulburn, along with a number of other psy skills. 2 things stand to increase your soulforce : Character Level and Gear Refinements (Your Weapon granting you more soulforce per + refine over any other gear piece). As an R8, you must be at least level 100, but if you are walking around with even +5 highest on refines, your soulburn is next to nothing in pvp. It would be treated as no more of a damage delivering spell than any other non-chi based spells. If this is the case, utilize your chi on other spells, red tide (is damage + possible damage over time = to soulforce), tide spirit (gives some fast casts as long as you use that first 6 seconds wisely, and extra damage the remaining 9 seconds), veil/shroud of shadows (makes you untargetable for a short duration and takes you off of their having you targeted, forcing them to re-target you. Altho, its duration is based on soulforce as well), spirit phalanx (this needs to be used in combination with the genie skill, fortify i believe, so that you can attack during your being invulnerable), telekinesis (this is good as an extra damage in 12 seconds and forget about until then, except to knock them down in hps until then), etc.

    Based on your post, it sounds like you may have been in white voodoo = even less damage to begin with. The trick I found to killin venos is black voodoo without leaving yourself to be killed. Its all about prep work. Also, all of your damage over time spells will do max damage through any damage reduction buffs, but they do full damage according to wether you are in white or black voodoo.

    IF the veno actually purged your white voodoo, use this to your advantage! White voodoo lowers your attack levels and raises your defense levels. With it purged however... Your attack and defense levels are both back to "normal"... thus, you would stand on "equal ground" as the veno you are up against... No reason to see this as a disadvantage.

    If they were waiting, thats smart on their part. If you couldnt attack them during this time, put your genie to use (see above on this)! This should be the same as Iron Guard apoths, even tho i dont yet have this.

    This sounds like your soulforce is too low. This was stated above, so no need to repeat this. Also, same as venos. I used to have major problems with clerics till I started figuring out black voodoo (in a non leaving yourself vulnerable way) is a psy's goal.

    You should not play any class because they are all powerful, no class really is. Every class has its perks and its disadvantages. The main way to choose which class you will play is your playstyle and/or what you usually enjoy playing. Thats why I chose psy, cause it sounded like the closest thing to a necromancer, that was my entire reasoning behind choosing a psy. For better or for worse. This all comes down to what I originally stated at the top of this wall of text.

    This is absolutely not true. Psychics are great. Everything is OP at R9+. And that soul of silence effect you are talking about here... also depends on your Soulforce. An R9 at 101with no refines, will not see much use of soul of silence. If it is you are an "average player", perhaps you have come against a number of "better than average players"? It does happen. If thats the case, dont be so hard on yourself. Know then however, that maybe you have more to learn, more to practice, more to become a better player than you are today. No reason to get discouraged. I hope this answered at least some questions... GL

    This depends. Normally vs pet classes, you do NOT attack their pet. You attack the Master. However, this tactic falls short quickly vs the venos phoenix pet (stun, stun, interupted, interupted, stun), and I would imagine vs the venos herc pet. In these two cases, I would agree with knockback (landslide), freeze (glacial shards), lower accuracy (sandblast burst). Even with the phoenix pet however, it can be a good tactic to get near the veno and use aoe skills (know the skills effects you are using), as well as knockback the pet.

    i agree with this.. Was thinking about how its unfair.. 1 min and 30% chance to work is pretty much better then 10 sec 100% of working of Soulburn... and WOW rly 1 min last and 30 sec CD of Magical Shackle vs 10 sec last - 30 sec CD b:nosebleed b:worried

    i stated this in my first reply and added to this, not to use soulburn on pets.
