    to many things wrong with simply looking at kd ratio, not saying i'm good, but my kdr is low, because I usually att people that out gear me. Sometimes i win and sometimes I don't. If you really wanna see who is the best at this point it's near impossible with to many gear gaps. Further I can name people on your list that just camped lowbies back in the day(even seen people make alts and kill themselves for kills), but see no need to. Ask yourself this question, is a r9 +12 good if they can only kill people that under gear them and they die vs those of equal gear? Yet they have a high kdr only because of killing those that they know they can kill.

    AND, I don't see PPL, in that list, that did the newbie run... I see them often in PK zone derping PPL

    not always, i've killed +12 r9's before. Reason why I att people that outgear me is because I find that anyone who isn't r9 these days(cept sins) are a joke in pvp really. Only way i find this game fun anymore is challenging myself =). Any old player that knows what they doing can easily spot a ton of names who farmed lowbies on that list. Most of the people on that list only got "good" once they got r9 or some other form of "OP". Take Banz for example, never did pvp till he cs'd r8 at level 100 and just tab killed everyone because no one could really get to him.

    People make an effort to make them as high as possible, and ironically, oftentimes the people that make the effort to pad their KPD can be pretty bad. They have a "comfort-zone" they like to fight in and the moment they're fighting in a situation that they're not used to, they leave. Problem is you can't just leave when TW or a tournament rolls around...

    You do NOT get better by refusing to fight out of your comfort zone. You get better by sticking it out and staying for the tough fights. You get better by adapting to fights you couldn't usually survive, then slowly learning how to handle them their best.

    Like two or three weeks ago I found some RANDOM no-named Psy who was actually f***ing boss. I couldn't believe it; some Psy I'd never heard of with gear almost exactly like mine, and he knew the class. We must've fought 1v1 fights for two hours straight and probably split almost exactly 50-50 on wins and losses. I opted for Black voodoo and SoR for an offensive setup and initial advantage, he opted for White voodoo and SoS to try and outlast and wear out his opponent. Again, our KPD ratio, in that case, would be a boring 1, yet he deserves so much more respect than any of those Psys on your list. FFS some of the Psys on the "top Psy list" have channeling shards in their soulsphere. Fighting that guy, I feel like I learned a fair bit and improved my own PVP ability. Fighting many of the people on your list? I feel like all I confirm is that they spend a crapton of money on the game.

    And what's sad is, a lot of people on our server, when they find someone almost identical in skill to them or better than them....they leave. Heaven forbid their KPD ratio drop and their friends think lesser of them.


    Obviously I can't call out names on that top players list and say what they're doing wrong (flaming), but in my experience, if it were based on skill alone? Omen (veno), Rome, MALIGNO, Kazuma and Armani (BMs), ShootnBlanks (archer), Noenum (barb), Zeon (seeker) and that Psy I fought three weeks ago (wish I'd written down his name) are just a couple dudes that deserve to be near the top, but aren't.

    They're not at the top because they're not as good. No, they're not at the top because they dare to fight the fights they might not win and use the opportunity as a learning experience. Thus when the weekly tournament comes or TW comes, you want THEM with you, not the KPD-padders.

    And again, not saying all people on the top list pad KPD, but the list certainly is riddled with people who clearly don't deserve to be there.





    Also wtf yeah I write a lot. Dunno how, but I write so much that something like this literally just takes a minute or two. I feel pro, someone gimme one of them touch-typing games, I'mma get the high score. b:cool

    I heard often that Acrelar was one of the best clerics, but i don't see him in the list, why? Cause he did is cleric job which mean support. A cleric isn't suppose to get KDR to be consider the best.

    For the other class maybe you can consider someone good with a KDR, but for a cleric you cannot take that in consideration to judge which one is the best.

    Just my opinion for cleric KDR.

    There's also the point where a lot of the people on that list never stepped outside of sz with anything less than max or near-max gear.

    Some ppl have been playing on the server for 2-3 years and didnt instantly have their characters level 100+ with full r9 +12. Some ppl did pvp and tw at level 30. If you took my kdr after i was full +12 r9 it would be ridiculously unrepresentative as well. Furthermore, u can camp outside any safezone and kill lowbies all day to boost it, which is also unrepresentative of anything of value.

    True pvp happened when some ***** stole your mob around the swamps, and you spent hours having an intense battle to let him know that this wasn't proper etiquette. This K/D **** just reminds me of those lame *** players who over prepared their chars with buffs and defense charms etc etc before ever thinking about leaving sz at sp, like all those bloodfeast vs synth 1v1s lol, they both completely lacked any kind of skill, prepared for like 20 minutes for a 10 second fight just to try boost their egos gained from C$ing some gear that was slightly ahead of everyone else... completely missing the whole point of the game and really just doing it wrong lol.

    I work on evening shift... I can'T play on week evening.

    And for the new (saturday?) tournement. I left the game on 20/07/12
