Uhm, weren't we told we were resetting the map this week?

What the heck is going on a PWI HQ? (( SHARE THE BOOZ! ))

Late to your own anniversary, behind on resets, no news about anything relevant to actual gameplay...

o.O....

You DO still love us GMs/staff, don't you? Or were YOU GUYS too busy playing ~another~ game *cough/looks suspicious/uncoughs*

    Hope you don't expect that fail attitude to get you very far in life. Don't see any raging either. Only a valid point being made on why these people can't keep their word.

    Well if you look at it this way- PWI is still their flagship money maker, and with over 100m in RL cash invested into this company NOT including the profits from CSers...

    They're letting a lot of people down aside from their player base. So, for a multi-million dollar company, this is pretty bad maintenance of their "cash cow."


    EDIT: TWers being a large portion of the CSers... they should probably cater some updates to them so they don't stop investing.


    But yeah, no rage here, just general curiosity as to wtf is going on. When will map reset be, is there any new content coming with anni, reasons for the delays, is this the last anni?

    I've been looking forward excitedly to anni for a while now, being an original sep 08er, and still an active player to this day- just wondering if this is kind of a hint that they want us to start looking for a new game...

    I don't believe a game is dead until the staff does, and this to me looks pretty ominous.

    What was the purpose of the maintenance if there was no patch and no map reset?
    I think someone dropped the ball.

    "Calm down, this is only a game". I still have to wonder, either way they would of facked up. Sure, major factions know bout this as they do have players reading forums but I dont think there was any announcement given bout the reset. So for average player, the reset might of come from the bushes so to say.

    Maybe frankie needs to step downa nd let someone actaully responsible step up and keep us n the loop. the only thing frankie was good for was keeping us up to date on the going ons and even that doesnt barely happen anymore. whats the point of being a community game manager if you cant even do the bare minimum. On another note why the hell is everyone going to the game i cant talk about cept there is wars , and guilds and such, man where is my pk homiessssssssssssssssssss

    No, you can't blame Frankie individually. These are employees for a company that is supposed to be giving them directions. No offense to Frankie intended, I don't think the GMs know what's going on because there is no direction trickling down to them anymore.

    It is a company, and as such there is supposed to be planning and hierarchy, business schedules, milestones, goals to meet, etc.

    However this isn't Frankie's company, and you can't blame any one individual. They're all just following orders, it's just too bad that the orders have stopped coming.


    I think there is simply a communication breakdown happening on behalf of PWI.

    I wonder if they are waiting for CN's new update to see if any of that comes to us this anni, or if they CAN turn any of it on for us for anni. They do usually like to give us new content with the anniversary- last year's Phoenix nest was a total hit. I got married there, and I've just recently started seeing people wearing the perma-fash from it which is I think around 600m to obtain?

    The only thing they bother to announce fast is Sh** at the boutique. Even private servers have better events and better support than this. I am curious to see how lame can this game get and till when are people willing to pay for it.

    frankie: There was an error during our maintenance and patch updating which did not reset the map. I will reply soon and update when the things are going to be fixed.

    You have no idea what you are talking about, Gms are part of the "team" but dont deal in forums unless they have too. frankie is an employee. . He did know and shoulda done his job as the forums are his per view. do you even know what a community game manager does? Have you ever been a mod for a game? When you have come back and post

    Some events in game require server restart in order to work (Public Quest in Morai is one of them).

    Your comment doesn't even make sense. You say GMs don't deal in forums unless they have to, but then say he should have done his job as the forums are "his" (not sure what you mean there by 'per view.' Perhaps you meant per se?)?

    Try reading your post before hitting submit.

    Yes I know what a Game Manager does, they represent the company's public relations in game. That means if events are hosted that need an in-game company representative, the GMs are the ones that do it. If newsletters need to be written, or announcements, they do it. If they are told to do grunt work on the forums, which is usually not their job, they will do that too. In other words, they follow the orders given to them. They don't have free reign to just do or say whatever they want. They typically can NOT give us an update without permission.

    GMs are also not as active in competitive (PvP) games, because players tend to entertain themselves killing each other. We have a very high end PvP society, in fact that is where most of their profit comes from. When the game was young we had a lot of GM interaction on a daily basis. As the game has matured we need less involvement from them. Yes we miss them, but we are pretty entertained on our own.

    That's not even the point- the point is that the COMPANY is treating its player base like ****. If there is a Director of PWI Events then THAT is the only individual who should be cowing and feeling like a total idiot right now. If it is a team, we're likely to have simply had a communication breakdown or a missing person or someone they didn't realize was actually important got let go.

    Our GMs are on our side for the most part. They see how crappy the company treats us and how bad it makes us feel. EatWithSpoons actually QUIT his job with PWI because of this, and later posted a HUGE RANT on Twitter about how CRAPPY PWI treats its customers.

    My point is put blame where blame is due, don't just wildly point fingers.


    Edit: And just a note: Too means a surplus or also. Ex, too many idiots. Or, GMs read the forums too. Have too would be akin to have as well. I still have no idea what you meant by per view though.

    Actually, the date announced was for September 4th. The winners were meant to be decided around two weeks ago.

    There has just been so many promises broken lately by PWI. I think mostly all of the promises were made by FrankieRaye. I wonder if the others working for the company knows what he is saying and promising in their name.

    First of all they need to fix the reset. I guess most logical would be if they made it happen with all the other things Frankie have promised us for tomorrow. Then they need to fix the webpage they said would be opened and bonus rewards the winning factions were suppose to get. And then the missing TW refunds needs to be sent out.

    I wonder what new things that will need to be fixed will show up on friday with the promised events and then with the new expansions we are reading about from chinese servers.

    Pwi is ran by China. And China doesnt care about us. Pwe is set up to make China money, and aslong cash shoppers cash shop, they wil be happy. An update will come in time, my guess is it still needs time to be ready for implementation. And they are doing the reset with the new update.

    Also no surprise about how pwe treats us, they been like this for the last 2 years. Only 2 reasons why people still stick around is, 1) friends 2) money/time invested.

    I thought the comment was the reset was to occur around the anniversary without a specific date. However, one could have thought they meant 4 Sept.

    Say what you will; but, we will get what we get when we get it. Life is too short to fuss much about a game we play for fun.
