Dex and Str!

i have another question..

I've been reading around about capping dex to 160, but from what i've read from someone that dex seems to give more base range dmg? is that true... or is it strength?

Currently i have
(no gear)
50 vit (capped, im not restatting my vit so please don't tell me to get it to 20 vit)
212 str
158 dex
5 mag

But im still at a loss about Str and Dex, since a few people said they were going to cap str at the appropriate number or just to keep going with 3 str and 2 dex each lvl

When i caped vit in 45 i going build 3str 2dex but if i reach 270-300str i wanna cap it and add only dex.For me dex is very good to get + much of crit and accuracy.Yea of curse str incerase attack but for me its a bit ,so the better way is have a very high crit .Ofc my play style is spaming skills so crit is very good but if u wanna auto attack i think the better is str.

Personally, since STR increases your base damage more, and a lot of skill damage is based on a percentage of your base damage, STR is better in the long haul.

Overall, you'll do more damage with STR than with DEX. Although if you're looking for lucky one-shot kills ect. in PvP, DEX will be a better choice. If you play mostly PvE, then STR is going to be more effective.

Any Seeker using autoattack and/or APS is shaming the class. We're all about spamming skills and debuffs, (mostly debuffs).

As to having higher dex, it doesnt directly affect dmg output unlike str but rather helps overall dmg because it increases ur crit rate which results in more crits which eventually boost dmg output,

But, overall i agree with the above replies in that str is more important and that shud b ur priority along with vit (depends on playing style and financial staatus b:chuckle), i would also like to add that you shud prbbly cap ur dex at 160 or any subsequent multiple of 20 (up to u if u wanna go tht way dnt recommend it though) since it adds another crit rate. So yeah you can add 5 str per lvl from lvl 84 onwards unless u feel like u need more vit
