Is it possible for sins to get 5 aps without r8. Another sin told me not possible for sins to get 5 aps without r8. In the thread about interval gears it seems for all combos you need 'Ocean Supreme Armor'. Which requires r8.

    The above example has no rank in it - however, it is extremely inefficient in terms of cost (the tome costs three times as much as the rank 8).
    Alternatively, you could use the level 60 rank 4 (I believe rank 4) chest plate instead of the tome.
    The cost would only be of the deicides, a few mil for the low amount of rank, and the TT99.

    However, it faces the same problem of acquiring the daggers and the tome.

    All of the above choices are terrible financially.

    In my opinion, the ideal progression of getting gear for optimized dagger aps is:

    Acquire Trophymode Interval Cape
    Acquire TT99 LA Bracers and Boots
    Acquire TT99 HA Necklace and Belt
    Acquire Rank 8
    You are now 2.86 sparked, you can farm Nirvana with lesser squads.

    Farm for:

    Barrier Thorn: Nirvana, or Shadow Asura Greaves. The Greaves are less expensive but Barrier Thorns give a better aps boost.

    Yes.

    Effective? No.

    The tome alone could get you R8 twice (you wouldn't need the tome with R8).

    Getting 5 aps without any rank gear is impossible, as you would need bracers with -0.2 int. With a rumored tome with -0.1 int coming out it would technically be possible.

    I can only think of two ways to reach 5 APS with daggers without using a rank top. Both require extremely costly and unlikely rolls to achieve.

    0.15 -int bracers

    To begin with, rank 8 isn't even the most expensive piece for 5 aps. No matter how you slice it, it's going to be the weapon, as your only choices are recast R8, G13 Nirvana, G15 Nirvana, G16 Nirvana and Hitman Legend. Each of those would cost as much or more than R8.

    This isn't happening FYI. The lvl9 tome on PW-CN has the standard -0.05

    I know there was a screenshot of it being more, but there has since been a video of the forges in the expansion that show it to be -0.05.
