Well polearm weapons are BROKEN and there wore no posts on forum to warn me of it b:cry
Now... why this is soo:
-overall lower dps with it then swords/axes/fists,... soo what u get from that:
-pole is a short RANGE-RANGE-RANGE attack weapon (got the RANGE-RANGE-RANGE part of that right ?!) -even the normal attack is not considered melee as the character never gets close enough to the mobs to have them change from using magic attacks to melee, the results of that should be obvious to anyone that played with heavy armor chars.
-skill theme is mixed, not focusing on any style rly :
-1- "Piercing Winds" close range bleed (attack all in a line - lol , like u`ll get mobs to ever line up for it), uses 1 spark;
-2- "Farstrike" range attack , quite powerful but to long channeling on it, u can walk to the mob and hit it faster by using sprint;
-3- "Meteor Rush" knockback skill, no significant dmg - don`t work on boss and ...other players ?! ... that leaves it for mobs, but why would you push back any mob at range so he can nuke u with magic attacks again ??
-4- "Glacial Spike" high damage aoe, must be in close range to cast, uses 2 spark
,soo... if they remain like this, in this form ... don`t train for them !!, if u find one sell it !!b:chuckle
making them useful: b:victory
option1
- must be melee weapon , meaning the character should still get close into melee range when using them !!!
- fan like pattern on attacks hitting multiple mobs , even normal attack !! -should get something if u are to sacrifice srt. (melee dmg) for dex. to use them -gives them a role consistent to other mmorpg`s
option 2
-having all skills/attacks on them have medium range, like 7-8m range (play stile would then be of a spear thrower - amazon style b:pleased)

Because they're not.-overall lower dps with it then swords/axes/fists,... soo what u get from that:
Claw/ Fist are for 1-1 dps.-pole is a short RANGE-RANGE-RANGE attack weapon (got the RANGE-RANGE-RANGE part of that right ?!) -even the normal attack is not considered melee as the character never gets close enough to the mobs to have them change from using magic attacks to melee, the results of that should be obvious to anyone that played with heavy armor chars.

Why post if you haven't even tried it?-2- "Farstrike" range attack , quite powerful but to long channeling on it, u can walk to the mob and hit it faster by using sprint;
That defeats the purpose of ranged attack, gives less sprint difference if you were to use sprint after.-3- "Meteor Rush" knockback skill, no significant dmg - don`t work on boss and ...other players ?! ... that leaves it for mobs, but why would you push back any mob at range so he can nuke u with magic attacks again ??

Demon GS+HF is killer for squad use making BM's mega valuable even if not 5aps. 4 sparks total but only takes 1 quick hit to get second skill off.
You failed to dissuade me from prioritizing them with this nonsense.0 -
i did try lol ... been struggling with them for weeks now
they suck in PVE , more like suicide becose of the RANGE part i described on normal attacks
and for pvp for as long the knockback from Meteor Rush won`t affect players a BM will do better with any other wep.
main ideea is: if your BM is not yet a high enough lvl to aford the waste of millions of coin & spirit cost don`t train for them,and get any of the other wep first.0 -

there actually tweeking tones of skills right now. itll be implemented in the new rise of dynesty expansion coming up. i know alot of the bm skill tweeks either made sage stronger or swords and poles stronger. the skill effects arnt being completely changed ut there being altered alot0

All the axe and fist threads didn't tip you off? Yeah, you should be wary of following the masses, but sometimes the reason everyone is doing something is because its better and the alternative sucks.
If I had to guess I'd say you were in the 60-80 range of levels, where you are fighting a ton of magic mobs. Unless you can range them (Drakes Ray and Farstrike) before they attack you it really isn't worth it. Leap in, stun/cancel, aps at melee. Or magic marrow and collect multiple mobs, RotP, axe aoe them all.
Knocksbacks are so you don't have to fight multiple mobs at once. Knockback a few, kill the others, then kill the ones you knocked back as they get back to you. It's great for rescuing you during genie or pot cooldowns. It also is good for grabbing mobs off clerics. Its also good for canceling a caster attack if you knock it out of its max range. Immediately follow it up with a leap forward and a stun. Now they're stunned, you've recieved no damage and attacked once.
GS is great to combo with HF, or alternate while HF is in cooldown. Demon will also give you autocrit for 5 seconds so you get a GS crit, an HF crit, and a Fissure/HC crit and can blow groups of mobs up.
Pro Meteor Rush aoeing Guide:
Run past the mobs. Turn around. Attack. Alternate with FoF.
As you run by and they follow they'll fall in line. At least melee mobs will.
Poles aren't the best, but they're also not completely useless. I'd focus on axe skill tree and cyclone heel first. I'd also focus on fist weapon refines first and axe weapons also.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -

You forgot 1 major use of meteor rush :
AOE knockback is also great to push ranged mobs in the aoe/zhen area. For this, poleweapon was pretty popular for rebirth and zhen in the old days (as main or secondary weap). It's a bit a pitty not that many bms use it in delta anymore.0 -

yeah, now they reject a mystic (and other far better classes) for a sin and have sin derpa 1vs 1 mobs. The easier things get, it seems the stupider the player base gets.0
