PWI will not die?

Because I played that game that everyone was hyping up, yes it is fun, but still not better than the joy pwi has given me. It is fun and awesome but it still doesn't have the soul of pwi. It's just not pwi to me.

Nope PWI will not die. Its true that PWI is no longer as it used to be. In some pints thats good, in others utterly disappointing.

But think of it. New Players, if there even are any, will not know how PWI used to be, unless we "veterans" tell them. And even then it cannot be changed so in either way they come to learn how the game is now and maybe come to enjoy it, like how I did when I switched here from Silkroad Online in 2008.

On a more serious note though: There seem to be less QQers around I like.

If I'd have to compare PWI with ''that game'' at the time of their release, PWI would win for me as well.

But if I were to compare both games in their current state, PWI doesn't stand a chance.

I doubt it will attract many PWI players, though. You can't quite buy your way into success over there.

I'm actually looking forward to this. As an Ex GunZ player which I enjoyed for several years while playing this back in the day. If this release is as good as the last product MAIET made it will be quite enjoyable.

And for those who spent the $60 on the overhyped public quest game. A few others and I told you so. b:scorn

I too am looking forward to playing Raiderz. And as for the people who were disappointed while going on and on about how much better that game is going to be, and how it's going to kill PWI.


1) The two styles were kinda different so a lot of people who play that game would simply prefer PWI.


2) You should never assume that something is going to be so great before you even buy it. There is always going to be vocal fans for any product under the sun, and ofc the game designers are going to make it look the best possible. That doesn't mean you're going to get that and you can't tell from incomplete testing. You need to experience the full product before you can make informed opinions.

3) Please don't come back and QQ about this game constantly. We don't miss all the party pooper threads. LOL

Well... While we wait for Open Release of RaiderZ if you're looking for something to compair the gameplay (to how I see it anyways)

Either youtube some monster hunter videos or get one for the Playstation series / PSP / Wii and give it a try yourself. The best I can recommend to search is anything related to Fatalis (The hardest Elder dragon in the game to beat)

If it's anything like that...You won't find many "noobs" playing it near end game as it takes A LOT of timing and skill to play it because it's not about tank and spank its about surviving something much stronger then you and "poking" it to death. b:chuckle

lmao the game out 3 days and everybody saying I told you so...most haven't even explored it yet.. PWI won't die til the cash shoppers get tired of it but a lot will move on as soon as something more to their liking comes along

6 days if you were a pre-orderer :P

PWI won't die out for quite a while. Our server was barely effected by that game. I've already seen about 50 come back so far that I know. And of course people come and go all the time.

6 days? Talking about a certain #2 game? Ive been watching my little bro play, and - if you are talking about Wars 2, which i think you are - after 7 years of the first one, I am SORELY disappointed in it. Its not that it isnt great, as the gameplay is awesome, the graphics are amazing, but, its just not the same as #1. The armor is unappealing, the storyline is very stale, the weapons dont glow like Nirvana (Lunar Cast) haha. Im not saying PWI is better, because you would have to be a mental patient to say that, but its really quite saddening after like 5-6 years of development to see such a poor game come out of what was one of, if not at a point the leading, game in the mmo genre(GW1).

I do agree, I was very happy to log onto HT and see that the WC was still full of trolls, West Archo still full of scammers, and 40~ people on in my faction.

Also, if their is an MMO that is coming out thats like MH (I tried MH Online and it was very hard to play in japanese haha, and you have to Subscribe for it) you can 110% be sure to see me there! Spent around 900~ hours on all of the PSP ones combined and a good 70 hours on the Wii one xD

I haven't played Raiderz so I can't say for certain but all the gaming site previews I have seen have favorably compared it to Monster Hunter. I am a bit worried that PWI will maintain status quo in it's communication speed with the actual developers. The videos look beautiful.

Oh it is very much like MH. You make gear from the slain creatures of the world. There's 4 main classes atm Using almost the EXACT same weapon system as MH (Though cleric is new and Sorcerer replaces the Bow/bowgun). Defender uses sword and shield variants (though shield actually plays a factor in this game) and berserker uses a greatsword.

The biggest perk to this game that I am liking is that it is all OPEN world where normally in genres like this it's all in a centralized HUB where you pick a quest to slay a certain monster and go into an instance for it.

When it releases I can almost guarantee that is where I will be. (As long as they keep up the patches and fixes)

Closed Beta finished two days ago so I'll expect Open Beta Testing Perhaps in the near future.

I'll definitely have to try it out as well! My high school years' free time was poured into MH1, MH2, MHP2G (before Freedom came out), and in total around 400-500 hours were spent.

But we'll see... 3rd year of my CSC Bachelor's and it's getting rather time-consuming.

Lol happens every yearb:laugh. I am to excited about raiderz, i have been following that game for then a year and im glad that il be able to play soon seeing that i always wanted to play a game like that but never had a console to play one.....well that and because nexton is g.ayb:surrender

Well I was watching this video. on it. And it similarly reminds me of C9 (which never made it's way to NA QQ that also would've been an amazing game to play).

As long as the entire game isn't THAT easy to do stuff. (I feel as if the video editor was a higher level then the required to do those quests). Granted this is also the BEGINNER area too so. We will see as it progresses

It's called first impressions. After a few days of playing it, my impression of that game is not very good. I don't like the game mechanics, the screen lay out, the graphics seem far too polished, etc. Since I did buy it, I will play it from time to time, but in my opinion, I prefer PWI more. And trust me, there are things I don't like about PWI, but its ease of use and functionality are big bonuses, and its graphics engine, though dated, to me is superior.

CS will not like much the other game, because is balance and their credit cards cant buy them OP gear to rule over everyone else. If I was them I will stick with PWI too...

i agree and was also hoping for c9 XD. And from what ive seen the later lvl gameplay gets alot more intense but i cant find that boss fight, it was a guy on a flame horse who could teleport in random places giving you a quick second to dodge out the way before he runs you and your team into the grown, he also had some other kool attacks and aoes that throws you down. so it seem pretty fun and i will for sure be downloading as open bata comesb:laugh

Agreed i also enjoy the graphic of PWI, im not a big fan of polished graphic and nit that im saying graphic don't mean anything at all its just that personally i like my games looking like games and not real life that's what outside is for lol
