Forum Avatar Broken?

KawaiiJen - Heavens Tear

Is it just me or is anyone else having an issue with their avatar being displayed properly in the top left corner of the forums. (I can't even load the webpage to change characters now that I've tried)

I got a blank spot where it should be in firefox and in IE i have a red X box where it's supposed to be.

Same exact problem here, it claims the site is down when I try to click on the button to change my avatar as well.

on the forum screen my has been a red error X on and off for a few days now, but when ever I post it shows in the post just fine. Kind of an odd thing cause like I said sometimes I have the red X and sometimes not.

There's just a .. nothing sometimes. But tbh I'm kind of used to it. Although sometimes i wonder if I changed my avatar to my BM <<;

Correct. Posting shows avatar just fine for me always. Just the top left and trying to access the page to change my character inaccessible

According to my computer http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/avatar.php is having some kind of server error. :P It posts just fine on my avatar but I can't switch out characters. And for some reason this isn't even on every page or consistent.

i have been playing since 2010 and ive never seen my char face when i post on forums, i always thought that it was a simple glitch and our loving pwi staff who cares so dearly for us would have fixed it as soon as possible. b:chuckle

You have to go to edit avatar (good luck with that) to pick your avatar picture. The stone face is just the default.

I'm having this issue as well, using Opera. Haven't checked with other browsers yet.

I wish people could use any avatar pictures and not just PWI avatars faces.

This has also been happening to me, I use Chrome and Internet explorer.

It specifically says that:

http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/avatar.php

Does not exist.


This is the reason that I only post from my wizard alt, I have been unable to switch avatars since some days ago.

Same for me, except I have a nice hosts file so I don't see it even if I go into IE (which I do when I need to do anything on another account, since this one is always logged in in Firefox and I am lazy). b:cute

ditto for me on the first, not the second, i dont use chrome, i use firefox and i get a big white screen when i click avatar

I had the issue off and on for the past few days. SO I'm waiting to see a post from Frankie to know if it's truly fixed or if its just gonna break again later. But for right now, it's working.

I was seeing the same thing, avatars didn't display and the background was blank, some of the foreground was also blank. I thought it might had just been a funky glitch with chrome, and I didn't bother with it cause it stopped doing that like... the next day? Or later that day? Something like that.
