    For the record, this just seems very widespread. If you google the thread's name, you will see the same thing on all kinds of forums, ranging from Facebook to Microsoft to Photobucket.

    Maybe what PWI should do is have a report button for posts/threads like other forums do.. Even on core connect they have a report this profile.. but it isnt there when i click on the spammers name and their core connect comes up

    PWE website tech team should really create a script to auto-remove the spam posts based on certain words and/or characters on the title and the first post.

    Otherwise, create a script that makes a topic or a post non-postable if the title of the topic or the content of the post contains certain words and/or characters.

    You mean write a mod for the forum software (which probably already has been done and is quicker/easier to find and download), as opposed to just using SQL?

    Either way works as long as the spammers can't post the spam. I knew one forum enabled something like that, where my post couldn't go through every time I have lol or lolz in my post.

    with a lot of ingame acquaintances getting **** and used as spam bots (one of them a former fac leader of mine and one of the few people i respect in RT), i think this one has to be stickied so anyone that gone through this has at least an idea what to do.

    I reckon it's from the links that are posted, but we had an issue with this a while ago with a fansite being ****, so I'm not too sure...
