Hello again forum ^_^
I have an idea to share with you all, but please dont flame because of how stupid it sounds. So i was thinking that they make a system in which, you invest a certain amount of money into the bank, and youll get a certain percent interest. (e.g. Invest 100k in and youll gain x% of the 100k every day). Of course this would make players super rich and it would mess up pwi's economy so there has to be some setbacks and risks.

1. You can only invest once a day, so choose wisely when that time is.
2. Once you invest, you will not have access to your money for the next 24 hours. After then you can choose to leave it there or take it out.
3. You will gain your interest money every 24 hours after investing.
4. This 24 hours is in game, so you cant invest and not play for a month and expect to be a billionaire. (Hard to explain but, the 24 hour time before you get your interest money is counted only when your in the game. And since noone obviously plays 24 hours straight you wouldnt get your money that quickly)
5. The percentage of interest you gain gets higher as you level (though not that much higher but there would be a significant difference between someone level 105 and someone level 20 investing)
6. This is an optional idea that contradicts with rule 5. There is a level limit before you can start investing. Probably the limit would be level 50-70. (i would like your opinions on the level limit and rule 5 please)
7. Another optional idea (personally i wouldnt want this one implemented because i want to be a billionaire lol, though ill write it anyway because my idea still sounds a bit too stupid). A coin limit of about 1-10mil (comments on this idea too please ^_^) so you dont get rich super fast.

Thats all i can think about. Please dont flame me for this T_T.
And please comment :)

Well... my catshop is on 24/7, I got a spare 200m any time of the day. And I'm a small time merchant.

Basically, the idea wouldn't work. Any kind of in-game time limit is pointless because of multi clienting or multiple PCs.

Limiting the percentage would have to be done very carefully. THere is a very fine line between pointlessly little and excessively overloaded.

Limiting the amount of coin would most likely deter the interest from people with lots of coins. Because let's face it, even 50% return on 10m isn't going to interest someone who's making 10 times that a day by doing the same thing: nothing at all.

I can see what your saying, but this is more to benefit people who arent merchants or have been unsuccessful with it. Yeah i wasnt exactly sure about the last few rules but how about no coin limit and a reasonable percent gain. That would give quite a lot (Also removing the timing?)

Any decent method of conjuring up coins out of nowhere tends to hurt the economy more than the feature benefits the majority of players.

Its a terrible idea really. I have billions of coins I can easily spread across many accounts. Any scheme you come up with to make you a billionaire would surely make me a trillionaire. If you give everyone 1,000 times more coin then prices will just become 1,000 times greater.

It's already extremely annoying to deal with coin transactions over 200 milllion and having to buy a platinum charm for 5 billion coins won't help anyone.

Again, if you're giving a high return with no coin limit, you'll see the big merchants doing it and then no one will benefit as the inflation will explode and coin will be worth nothing.

You might not be able to grasp it, so let me give you some numbers. I am a small time merchant, but I can easily dish out 500m coins. There's probably a few dozen people just like me on every server, then a few dozen who can pitch in double or more what I can do. And this is talking funds not used for merchanting. I would still be gaining my regular merchanting profits, with no downside whatsoever.

There's really no way to implement that kind of system. If you exclusively target the poorer people, you will effectively eliminate them from the game by giving them free coin. That will cause everyone to be big spenders, which will cause inflation, which will kill the economy.

The thing is, merchanting works because it takes something. It takes a bit of research, a tiny bit of smarts... and lots of time. You really cannot just go "Well some people can't achieve it, so let's give it to them for free".
