Full Warsong...

On another thread, I thought I had Lucky Break already, but I found when checking myself out that I do not. I had confused it with another spell.

Im at the point in my 100 Culti where I need to do 3 more Warsong bosses (which never seem to come up for a BH) to unlock the next OHT map where I need to kill 30 more mobs to complete that quest.

This leads to questions.

Ive seen some people spamming for players for Full Warsong. Idk why this suddenly is, unless some people have suddenly desided they want to get their lvl 100 Culti done.

The trend for these squads is to be able to solo a Pavillion.

Questions:

1. Is it necessary to do Full Warsong this way, or is this just a new trend?

2. If it is necessary, what is the best Pavillion for a Mystic to attempt to solo?

Someone in my faction suggested I try Fire while squaded. Needless to say given current attitudes in the game, I am skeptical any squad would be willing to take along someone who doesnt know if they can solo a Pavillion because they have never tried before. In fact, of those spamming for squad members, they say "must be able to solo a Pavillion".

Also, I have had negative experiences soloing what I percieve to be Fire-based creatures in the past, like Wyvern in 51 or 59.

3. Is it possible to attempt to solo a Pavillion without being squaded? Like pay 10 mirages and pick a Pavillion?

Thanks for your help. b:thanks

Mind posting a screenshot of the quest in your log then?

The level 100 culti has been here long before Warsong and it's rather unlikely that they would change it.

P.S.: people do full Warsong runs for G16 nirvana weapon/armor molds.

Warsong is where the molds for the new stage 3 rank 9 and nirvana gear drop from. (Lunar too, but Warsong drops the wep molds) This is why you see more people doing full warsong runs. The only way to get the final boss that drops the wep molds, is to defend all 5 paths.

For a mystic w/ no prior warsong experience, I'd actually recommend defending the metal path. The mobs in both metal and fire deal elemental damage, so arcane classes are more suited for defending these paths. Fire takes a little longer to kill though. However, since you have a pet, earth/wood might work for you too.

The only way to know, is to try, so next time you do a metal bh, pop into one of the paths and give defending it a go. You don't lose experience if you die in warsong, and it's a good way to test it out before you get in a squad that starts qq'ing if you can't handle the path you're on.

On a side note, I never heard of needing warsong bosses for opening OHT maps. I've finished full culti, and got the final OHT map/belt on two toons, and never had to do a warsong boss to do it.

*damn slow typing.. all sorts of ninja'd*

Posting a screenie will take forever, since I need to upload the image, etc. then post its URL. I logged in to check.

Road to Tao gave me 3 sets of OHT mobs to kill. I have 30 Icewing Chiefs left, which I need to do Pestilence Destroyer, Obscure Reaper & Shadowskull Lich to get to them. I believe there was a 4th, which I did with a BH already.

If I can drop that and reroll it, I will. I had to do the 3 TT bosses to get to this point.

P.S. Thanks for the info on the Nirvy molds. ^^

Those mobs are in Valley of Scarred, which is the third OHT map, not warsong.

Right, and I need the bosses I posted to access that map.

Can you just go in Warsong alone and try?

Also, can you reroll for another set of bosses maybe to access the map?

No, you don't. At least, not unless they changed it.

That is why I want to see the warsong bosses as a quest requirement in your log.

Can't go in alone, need at least 2 people in a squad to be able to open it w/ 12 mirages, but if you have someone willing to pop in and help you open it, go ahead.

As for the quests leading up to Valley of Scarred, not sure why it's coming up for you that you need Warsong bosses. The warsong quests start at lvl 80, and are standalone.

Here's the quest chain between opening Unicorn forest and opening Valley of Scarred.

You guys could be right. Its been a long time since I stopped trying for the Culti, and maybe I lost my way.

Thanks for the link, Im going to try to see where I got off track, if I did.

Thanks so much to you all for the speedy replies, and the info on unlocking Warsong to make a practice run for a pavillion. b:thanks

Ill be back if it turns out I didnt get confused. xD

You definitely don't need warsong to finish culti (and get the Holy Grail ie Lucky Break b:victory ).

Full culti is confusing as hell, this has always been my bible, and i still refer to it on my other characters while they finish culti http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=658002

The biggest hassle is that sometimes the yellow quest chains just "stop".. and without the roadmap above (or the wiki one posted.. or the ecatomb one) one wouldnt know which obscure NPC to go to to pick up then next step in the chain. And there are TWO yellow quest chains at some spot, one which depends on the OHT culti maps (ie having had Map3 opened to kill some mobs in there).

Good times b:chuckle. Imo DONT reset any quest lines and DO completely separate Warsong in your mind from culti, that will just confuse you. If the quest line aint yellow, ignore it xD. *see below divider about the warsong yellow quest though*

--on the brightside, cultis have got dumbed down some in the last 6 months, ie you no longer have to complete rm 38 of the cube.. just going to rm 1 suffices

    Good luck!

*oh and i think there might be some warsong 'yellow' quest that you get like the first time one goes into warsong or something. That's the one where u get a stone of refreshment as a reward when killing incarnate at the end of a full warsong. I had that idle for a long time in my quest logs as well. The reason that there are 3 of the 5 bosses left is that u had already killed snake and cannon from bhs xP. That one is NOT culti xD. So check the OHT links to see which npc u need to talk to next to get your map yellow chain cranking again. Edit -- here is the quest i was thinking of: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/quest/19692 -- . I believe this quest is 'yellow' too, which is probably the source of all the confusion!

You CAN reset the warsong yellow quest since its not culti. But not necessary as long as u realize it has nothing to do with culti. If u plan on running a full warsong to finish that one at some point, i recommend fire over metal (those are the two that i do). Fire is a lot easier since there is a lot more room to kite the head than in metal (more claustrophobic). Just stay away from the head and mobs as now mobs go boom sometimes and will take u with them if u in close range. Metal can be done too though. Just practice on some BH snakes when no one rlly cares. Once u can solo a pavillion with ease, you will get into a full warsong squad that is farming mats and u will finish that particular quest, get a stone of refreshment, and even get some g16/r9r mats to boot xP

Wood is also pretty ridiculously easy for a mystic due to how slow the mobs come, but metal/fire is recommended path for Warsong nubs.

I easily solo Metal and Fire with my mystic. But I have a 3rd cast weapon. Use storm mistress for extra DD
