So I quit the game 2 years ago, and I have a level 9x barb and 9x cleric friend. How should we level? FC? Is there any other type of leveling like grinding? b:dirty

You can do FF, daily BH quests, once you become 95 you also get new Morai quest chain with nice EXP rewards and new 2 dailys and 1 weekly quests for nice exp.

Those 2 classes get into FC squads so easy.

Personally, I like to do my Quests, then I'll do BH's or Justice. Maybe throw in a Delta run or some TT runs to help friends. Once you hit 95, you can level to 96 pretty quickly just doing the Morai quest chains. and after that, back to the first, but with more Delta runs. (can make some decent coin on the Delta runs too.)

But then, I know how to play my characters, and I'm not some hyper noob.

Also, joining a faction with a base is a good idea. The quests from the monolith do give quite a nice chunk of exp 90+.

If you've got level 90's characters, then the best way would be to buy some hyper stones from one of the catshops, and run fc. (Let them know that you're unsure of the correct hyper times though, so that they can tell you when. Let them know and ask any questions about it from the start of the run.) That way is bar none...the most efficient way to gain xp at that level. Quests and grinding won't give you much of anything. I do agree with Sylven though, as the Morai quests at level 95 do give decent experience. Also, your bh quests are still worth doing. If you can do a delta run, then go ahead and do so.

Also, I'm not sure what your gear is...but if you're a barb, you'll want your gear decent enough to be able to pull...because that's what they'll expect. If you can't pull, then tell them so. Also ask them for advice on some of the bosses. I wrote a guide for clerics in here, but I did go into some detail for some of the tricks for the bosses in each instance. (That same guide won't work for warsong, seat of torment, abaddon, or lunar because those areas have changed since I wrote it.)

That said, your most efficient way is to go to Snowy Village and buy some hypers from the catshops there. Learn how to use them, and go spam fc. May I recommend first running a few lower leveled instances to help get you reacquainted with the game, and some of the things to expect. People tend to get irked some when you mess up in fc because their hyper time is running. I should also warn you that in fc, and well...quite a few bh's and other dungeon runs now, you're going to run into people that do not know their class...because they paid for fc runs....from like level 1 up. Fortunately, there are enough good people too that this isn't a supreme problem...though a squad of bad ones suck. Lol. If you were lower leveled, I wouldn't recommend fc because I do feel that a person needs to learn their class...but you're a level 90, so I highly recommend it to you. I'd honestly recommend it to you if you were level 80.

That said, good luck in real life and in game. Hope that you see higher levels soon. :)

As much as I agree with Serentys post: Don't buy hypers at snowy village. Instead buy some tokens in west archosaur and make them. People selling at snowy village will charge you higher prices because they know they can sell them for that price to lazy/noob people. b:surrender
