I don't mind clerics DDing at all.... as long as someone is healing. The problem is, in my squads, usually when they DD they really slack on healing. Like a multi caster run I joined with wiz, had two clerics and yet I was charm tanking the bosses half of the time because nobody healed. There really is no excuse for that.

My cleric will often DD if not much healing is required in, say, a BH. It only makes sense to toss a couple of IHs and then join the fight if it is just mobs that aren't doing any serious damage. It is harder with bosses these days since most randoms demand BB no matter the circumstance, and rather than arguing I usually comply just to get done faster. But regardless of the situation, healing should always be taken care of first, and the DD shouldn't continue to the point of charms ticking. I think some clerics just don't pay attention.

Did 2 cleric-less runs there last night and they were the fastest and easiest I can remember.

Why isn't the metal mage in these cases complaining about no heals? Why would a metal mage jeopardize the success of their own run? b:puzzled

People use to control their own aggro. Now if they can take one single hit; they think the cleric who's way beyond them as DD and tank should be their pocket slave at the cost of a faster smoother run.

We need more metal mages!

I'm one of those rare clerics that favors IH when possible. BB puts you totally at the mercy of your squad (show of hands: how many clerics have sat there in BB chomping down MP food waiting for the dumb butts to do something?). With IH I'm free to elemental/ dimensional seal, boost someone's pdef, purify, decrease a caster's channeling time, and DD *shudder*. Due to so many fail random squads though; my cleric is often in BB at boss while I'm dual logged with a toon I solo cleared to the boss with.

Not everyone is R9 as you and you are a mystic so you had a healer.
Go without cleric and mystic without any R9 and let me know how many time people will die.

Casters tank in Caster Nirvana. Which is mostly where I have the issue. And good luck tanking BH bosses with BP on an average geared character. I know my barb can't.

Good for you. I'm sure some runs can go fine with no healer if you have very well geared people. But not all runs do.

When I go into Caster I would not go without clerics because my wiz does inevitably end up tanking unless there are R9s, and she isn't OP geared. When there are two healers in a squad and the HP of people is dropping to the point of death with no healing going on, I find that just ridiculous. And in my runs, the metal mage would not complain about no heals because it is not the metal mage tanking. It is the metal mage being fail, having joined a squad that advertised for a HEALER and then not bothering to fulfill the role they were recruited for.

LMAO even more here, I got 5k hp, and I said 5 to 10 hit. Some boss hit me for 530 damage, whit 1 crab meat, it's about 10 hit before I die, unless you do vectorial math were 2+2 = 5

Then add the Plume shield, or the Guardian light and or etc...

Like I said most people don't know what a cleric can do !

Oh wait, is this like in a duel were you can't use crab meat or your genie, and were cleric can't stun and heals them self ... ??

For the record, I'm only charm in TW.

I switch to metal mage before each boss, curse with mark of weakness, then switch to primarily healing right after.

This should be the standard for ANY cleric. Unfortunately, we have quite a large number of people that don't have a ****ing clue about how to play their class.
