Demon Heartshatter and zerk weapons

According to Ecatomb Sage Heartshatter increases damage by 15% while Demon Heartshatter increases critical strike percentage by 15%.

Wouldn't this mean that for non zerk weapons the DPS increase would be the same but for zerk weps Demon Heartshatter produces more DPS due to zerk crits?

Also I want to make sure, when Shatters are described as increasing critical strike percentage by a certain amount is that percentage added on to the attackers percentage or is the players percentage multiplied by that amount.

Meaning if you have 10% crit strike percentage and cast a wood attack on a mob with level 10 Mindshatter applied to it will your attack crit 30% of the time or 13%.

    its 15% added to the attackers crit rate. so lets say you have 20% crit and use demon heartshatter, you would have 35% crit when using metal skills or physical skills. but zerk is a 5% chance to pro so you are better with the amped base damage of sage heartshatter because you will hit more consistent damage
