Most of you probably know more about company mechanics than I do, as far as gaming goes anyway.

What benefit is there to PWI to have more people logged on??

We can all argue about the benefits of the Realm of Reflection but at the end of the day its reasonably insignificant. However I suspect it will cause more people to stay online, when otherwise they would just log off. I know I do.

I suspect the whole mechanic is designed to keep people online, but I'm wondering why PWI would do this - what is the benefit to them???

More people online = More valuable their ads on the website, also its not yet implemented but that "deep reflection" I bet (I ensure you) it will be sold in the GShop.

It's nothing related to having more people online. It's just a feature that attracts casual players when they look at pwi - "Wow! you can gain exp while afk!".

Plus there's a cash shop related item coming out for it soon.

Made an alt recentlly, they are leveling low level players fast. There are three npc in starter towns that just give exp away. Maybe statistic show that higher level players spend more money?

i think i have to agree with the more people online at all times the more money they make. some of there advertisers probably require a certain average per month or they'll just pull there ads.

i know that's how it works with sports anyhow. an advertiser isn't going to pay ryan newman thousands of dollars to slap some stickers on his car and drive it around a half empty track every night. or <insert sportball star here> to play <insert type of sportball here> to an empty set of <insert name of sportball stadium here> bleachers more often then not.
With the living avatars of friendship by your side and the orbital friendship cannon at your back, look the wraiths in there soulless eyes and ask them. "will you accept my friendship undead scum?"
