    Just LOL at ppl who advocate channeling gear for psys. The amount of dmg+crit rate you sacrifice for the sake of casting tiny bit faster is ridiculous. Psys have a very short base channeling, so the % of improvement in that aspect is not even remotely comparable to the % that applies when talking about crits. Anyone who has played WoW knows just how significant 1% crit improvement is at the end game level and you can easily identify noobs among end game players based on their ratio between dmg output and crit rate, same principles apply to pwi.

    I won't say it's a great thing because this is where pwi failed to properly copy everything good from WoW, but basically pwi has no resilience stat, meaning whereas in WoW a reliable pvp crit rate would be around 30-33% (back in the day), in pwi the reliable crit rate can go between 17-20% and if you build your psy properly, you can have a 24% crit rate monster. Another great thing about crit rate for psys is that it also helps you bypass charms when fighting vit barbs, you land a combo of crits and they're done, and with a high crit rate, your chances of critting at a bad time for the barb are pretty high - not to mention it fcks up their fighting rhythm because all of a sudden they get whacked for much more damage than usual.

    If you put two equally end game geared psys against one another, one with full channeling gear, other with full crit, the one with crit wins easily. The only question is, how good is your psy geared or you plan to gear him up? Because the importance of stats changes, i.e. the 1% crit boost only becomes better than a fixed amount of +magic damage at a certain point, meaning while it may decrease a R8's performance, having extra crit rate will increase a R9's performance. The problem is that pwi never had the high level of competition and testing done as i.e. WoW did, so nobody really knows exactly what is the most efficient pve or pvp build, there are variations, but for the most part if you invest $15k, you are going to **** everything with whatever build you are using - so you'll naturally see psys putting channeling into weapons because errm yea they'll cast faster and it's cool and it works and and and...guess what, of course it works when you're bashing R8 ppl and if you happen to meet an equally geared person who kicks your *** you can just blame it on anything except for your build because after all, it does work most of the time, doesn't it.

    In this sense I cannot give you the exact damage output at which point the 1% crit rate becomes a better investment than adding more direct damage, that's pretty much guess work until some uber mathematician decides to figure it out. What I can tell you is that 1% channeling will never at any point be better than adding +dmg or +crit to your psy, not as a R8 nor R9, R20, never. If they give you the option of having 50%+ crit rate build psy versus super fast channeling psy, the crit psy will have higher pvp dmg output because pvp is about dph, not dps, meaning you run, hit few times, run, hit few times, etc., you don't just stand for 5minutes bashing your keyboard and building up a high dps output - and even if that was the case, charms are messing up the math meaning even then crit rate would highly likely still be a better pvp choice.

So I fail to see where your statement comes from, except that I have not played along side you nor against you, but still hear meaningless directed insults.

    First off...PWI CAN WE GET SOME -CASTING TIME GEAR ALREADY??? Now, since -chan gear doesn't affect us nearly as much as a cleric or wiz with their 2.5 sec average skill cast, at lvl 80 and 90 what gear would you suggest for a great build? I have an 82 psy with +3 refine at +40 hp/garnet equivalent on all gear. I have some -chan gear (12%) but all with great stat additions like +3-5 of str, mag and vit along with the channel all on one piece. I have the Eye of the jungle for the str and def.. is there a better belt? kez N0P$ydjv dvH 0 9v+ 0EE &Q2Z1 this doesn't look like a link to me but it's what it gave me...

    This is what i have on Just in case.. all with +3 refines except the rings.

    What would you keep, what would you change and if you change, what do you change to? Like most, I am on a budget so nothing crazy like puzzle cube badges pls. (I'll take it if you wanna give me one. lol)
