General Newb Faction Chat (Input wanted)

I'm not one to start a guild and and ever have it successful, but in my mind, the faction name is a great first impression. In the past i'd use stuff from my own works without a thought of what people actually liked. After some thought in another game, me and a friend thought of something that seemed like an awesome idea. However when we started it, we had no responses. (It was hard to anyways...) I would like feedback as what i could do as a leader, to make this a better place to play, like an in-game family. But before we get started we had thought of Faction names, Ocean's Grimoire (which is too long), Neo-Bushido (again, long) and Crayola (it was funny at the time). I realized that this is in general discussion, only because it isn't set in stone as to whether or not it would be created for people. Feel free to drop a line.

P.S. yes, i am a solo player... b:sad, extra tidbit of information b:shutup

    having a faction is nice, especially with high lv's around to help out with the higher end instances. as for names of factions, youd really have to sit down and come up with anything up to 9 chars.

    Wouldn't use them myself, though. probably just spread them b:chuckle


    Anyhow, yes, an original faction name is quite important. or at least a name that attracts the kind of people you want. Any names relating to anime or overusing capital letters tends to give me the impression that it's full of nitwits. Of course you should also not use any special characters, as that will make you unable to put on a faction logo.

    A stylish website that doesn't look like a Geocities relic from the mid-90's also gets you a long way.

    All I can say about faction names is don't use any special characters, I instead of L, things like that. Causes quite a few problems for members.
