Mind Shatter and Glacial Frost Orb

I really tried use the search function, but I haven't found the answerb:cry.

I was looking the apothecary potions that we can manufature and I see the "Glacial Frost Orb".The description of this potion says "Adds greater water damage to players atack".

I have allways assumed that this potion only affects auto-atack (more or less like the blazing arrow of the archers), thus being useless for a seeker, but I read a topic in which a cleric told for another cleric to use a similar pill to solo a boss that is strong against element metal.

If I use, for example, battousai after I eat this pill, will my skill battousai have damage of metal and water? And about my debuff mind shatter? Will my debuff affect my skill if I use this pill?

The buff affects all physical, or all melee damage. Not sure on that one.
Either way, it does effect our skillls. However, a cleric using those pills is... useless. xD As it doesn't affect magical attacks.

Anyways, I wouldn't bother with the pills untill lvl 100+ for caster nirvana.
The bosses in there are physical immune, and with an elemental damage buff(from either a wizard, or from pills) we can still use all our skills and debuff the bosses by using our stances

The added damage is pretty much neglectable for the price of the pots if you're just using it for normal mobs
