Hey, this is a quick question about turning TT into t2 then g16.

When turnning TT - T2 into g16, does the g16 become bound?
Lets say the TT T2 was unequipped and it still had the message 'This item is bound upon equipping'.
Will it sitll have that message when turned into g16?

I apologize if this question has been asked already but search option did not bring much up about the topic.

The general rule of thumb is:
Bound things stay bound when upgrading.
Unbound things remain unbound when upgrading.
So TT gold in any stage would continue to be bound upon equipping.
Lunar won't bind just because you made it t3.

I believe she was asking about TT gold before it was equipped, thus in unbound stage.

I have no firsthand experience with this. But given that unequipped TT gold stays unbound when you make it into Nirvana, I would think it would stay unbound when you upgraded it as long as it was never equipped.

TT nirvana that has never been equiped is BOUND ON EQUIPING
This status stays when you recast it, and thus TT nirvy that has never been equiped and made to G16 will also be bound on equip

The bound status stays on the piece, regardles of being bound, unbound, or bound on equip

Bound on Equip is an official bound status that is the default of almost all tt gold equipment. There is one exception to this but I can't for the life of me think of what it is right now. Binding status is not at all affected by upgrading. For some reason I feel like the jungle belt is an exception to this rule....but I also cannot think of which piece of equipment loses its autobind status upon upgrade.

One of the tt99 gold glaives I think does not bind, but I think that was a mistake in the programing they've decided never to fix lol.

That is correct. The g14 JR belt (whether you make it with stones or win it with the correct combination in JR) is bound to your account (not on equipping) and then loses it's restrictions when you upgrade it to g15/16.

To clarify, the item itself isn't under bound status but it cannot be discarded, traded, doesn't drop on death, etc. The same things you see on trophy capes, in essence. Once you upgrade the belt's grade, those protections/restrictions are removed.

That said, if you were to use a binding charm on the G14 belt, the G15 and G16 made from it would still be bound like normal.

I know that... that has nothing to do with what I posted. From reading the OP's post I assumed she was asking that if the TT Nirv was unequipped (and thus unbound and tradeable), when she upgraded it would it remain tradeable (still being unequipped). And I assume that it would.

Everyone knows it binds when you equip it.

There is one exception to this but I can't for the life of me think of what it is right now.

The dual swords ☆Dragonslayer, Annihilation are the only tt99 Golds that do not bind, as far as I know. Which in turn leads to a few paths of TT-Nirvana blades and swords that can be made unbound.
